In 2072, a world engulfed in a global conflict between the UN world government and a Sino-Corporate military conglomerate saw its end. This military conglomerate was spearheaded by REKLEX INTERNATIONAL.

The world is in shambles. Razed by bioweapons and nuclear warfare, daylight does not break through the cloud of ash and mutagenic spores covering the atmosphere. Deep into the Siberian tundra, a massive-scale research complex rots amongst the wastes.
