If you're a beginner, prioritize getting Soru (the fast movement skill) over fruits. You can get gems for fruit spins by leveling up your fruits or from login bonuses anyway, so it's better to wait until you have Soru before spinning. Here's how to get it:

・Beat the Marco boss in Dressrosa 3 times (spawns every hour per server)
・Get 10 titles
・Get one fruit to level 100

Once you meet these 3 conditions, talk to the NPC right under where Marco spawns (with your level 100 fruit equipped) to accept the quest. Then, read the book near the big bridge and you'll get Soru. Having Soru lets you move faster, makes winning PvP way easier, and makes Fruit Battlegrounds a lot more fun!

First off, it's super easy for beginners to give up. In games like Blox Fruits, getting fruits is pretty easy through trading or buying them from the shop, but in Fruit Battlegrounds the only ways to get them are basically gacha and boss drops. The drop rates are low so you hardly pull rare fruits, and a lot of people quit right there. Plus, leveling up is pretty tedious, beginners can barely win in ranked, so you just end up having to spam your moves into thin air to grind levels. But once you push past that, it's insanely fun.
