About
OverviewFamily Zone is a co-op education game made by the Roblox Education team where two players team up to complete short challenges, learn how Roblox works, and earn free avatar items along the way. One player takes the role of Guardian of Play and the other becomes a Sparkbearer, and the game is built around that partnership. This guide walks you through choosing your role, finishing every challenge, and collecting all the rewards.

Choosing your role before you start
Step
In short
You need a partner before you do anything else — the game is built for two.
When you load in, you pick one of two roles. The Guardian of Play is the adult side of the pair, and the Sparkbearer is the non-adult side.
- Enter as Guardian the adult in the pair selects Guardian of Play and earns the Guardian of Play badge on entry.
- Enter as Sparkbearer the non-adult selects Sparkbearer and earns the Sparkbearer badge on entry.

Use the early badges as a checklist to make sure you have not skipped any control.
The opening section of the game walks you through Roblox fundamentals one at a time. Popping the confetti balloons is how the camera tutorial works.
- Moving your avatar completed when you earn the Mover and Shaker badge.
- Rotating the camera pop the confetti balloons to earn Party Starter.
- Jumping completed when you earn the One-Jump Wonder badge.
- Interacting with objects completed when you earn the First Contact badge.

The Skyling Egg mission

In short
Split the retrieval and hatching roles between your pair.
The main co-op challenge centres on the Skyling Egg. There are two paths through it — Explorer and Strategist — and which path you take determines which badges you receive. Retrieving the egg and hatching it are separate steps, each with its own badge.
Tips worth knowing
- Retrieving the egg as an Explorer earns the Eggspert Explorer badge.
- Retrieving the egg as a Strategist earns the Eggspert Strategist badge.
- Hatching the egg as an Explorer earns the Swift-Footed Skyling Hatcher badge.
- Hatching the egg as a Strategist earns the Charged-Up Skyling Hatcher badge.
- Collecting every Play Spark inside the Skyling Egg Vault earns the No Spark Left Behind badge.

In short
Watch every video in both zones and you will walk away with two more badges.
Two dedicated areas in the game show educational videos. You need to watch all the videos in each zone to earn the badge tied to it.
- Head to the Safety and Trust Zone watch every video there to earn the Library Expert badge.
- Head to the Discovery Zone watch both videos there to earn the Skylings the Limit badge.

- The central object in the main co-op mission, which must be retrieved and then hatched, with separate badges for each step.
- Play Spark
- Collectible items scattered inside the Skyling Egg Vault; gathering every one earns the No Spark Left Behind badge.
- Explorer / Strategist
- The two paths through the Skyling Egg mission, each giving different retrieval and hatching badges.
- UGC item
- A free avatar accessory awarded for completing a challenge; all six items in this game cost nothing.
Common questions
FAQCan I play Family Zone alone?
The game is designed around a two-player pair. You will need a partner to take the other role before the co-op challenges become available.
Do I need to spend Robux to get any of the rewards?
Every challenge and every UGC item in the game is free. Completing the matching badge is the only requirement.
What happens to the UGC items after I earn them?
They go into your Roblox avatar inventory and you can wear them in any Roblox game, not just Family Zone.
