Phonk Slap — Basic controls
About
OverviewPhonk Slap is a PvP action game where you knock other players off the map with slaps, each one triggering a phonk music edit. This guide covers the controls, how to earn and spend Aura, how to build a win streak, and how to chase the game's badges — including the rare developer kill.

Basic controls
CheckThe control scheme is intentionally simple. Click on a target — or press R2 on a controller — to throw a slap. Press E on keyboard, or R1 on a controller, to fire off whatever special ability your current glove has. Every successful slap also triggers a phonk edit, so you will know when you have connected.
- Click or R2 throws a slap at your target
- E or R1 activates your equipped glove's ability
- Knock a player off the edge of the map that counts as a kill
- Watch for the phonk edit it confirms your slap landed
Earning Aura and unlocking gloves
StepAura is the resource that unlocks new gloves and cosmetics. You earn it by hitting other players — the more you play, the faster it piles up. Each glove comes with its own unique ability, so swapping to a new one noticeably changes how you play. Cosmetic items beyond gloves can also be unlocked the same way.
- Slap players each hit earns you Aura
- Open the shop or unlock screen spend Aura to get rare gloves
- Unlock cosmetics non-glove items are also available with Aura

Building and protecting your streak
TipsStreak badges are awarded at 10, 25, 50, and 100 consecutive kills without dying. Falling off the map yourself breaks your streak, so positioning is just as important as aggression. Save your glove ability for moments when you are in danger rather than burning it on easy kills.
- Chase the badge milestones in order — 10, then 25, then 50, then 100
- Stay away from the edges when fighting, since falling off resets your streak
- Hold your glove ability in reserve for situations where you are about to be knocked off
The Devxecution badge
WarnDevxecution is earned by knocking out one of the game's developers. Because it depends entirely on a developer joining your server, there is no reliable way to farm it.
Redeem codes
StepPhonk Slap has redeemable gift codes that hand out in-game items. Each code works only once per account, and some carry expiry dates.
- Find the code entry field inside the game
- Claim your reward before the code expires
Staying safe and avoiding a ban
WarnThe game explicitly states that hackers and bug exploiters will be banned with no appeals allowed. That means there is no process to reverse the decision once it is made. Play fair, and do not share personal information or passwords with other players in the session.

Common questions
FAQHow do I use my glove's ability?
Press E on keyboard or R1 on a controller to activate it. The effect depends entirely on which glove you have equipped, so the ability changes whenever you switch gloves.
What breaks my streak?
Getting knocked off the map yourself ends your streak immediately.
Is a ban for hacking really permanent?
Yes — the game's own description states that bans for hacking or bug exploitation come with no appeals. Once the ban is applied, there is no process to contest or reverse it.
