Getting started in your prison

Step

In short Buying and placing your first device is all you need to start earning.

When you first load in, head straight to the shop. That is where every device is sold, and you cannot place anything until you have bought it. Once you have made a purchase, place the device somewhere in your prison and wait for friends to stumble into it.

Open the shop look at what devices are available and what you can afford right now.
Buy a device pick one from the shop to add it to your inventory.
Place the device drop it into your prison so friends can trigger it.
Watch and earn money comes in each time a friend gets trapped in a device.

In short The shop sells a range of machines, each with a different way of pranking whoever walks in.

Every device you buy goes in your prison and pranks friends in its own way. The shop is the only place to get them.

Tips worth knowing

The Toilet Dunker dunks whoever triggers it.
The Giant Hamster Wheel traps friends inside a spinning wheel.
The Hydraulic Press squashes whoever steps into it.
The Whack-A-Friend is another prank machine listed alongside the others.

Earning more cash

In short Spreading multiple different devices around your prison increases your income.

Every time a friend gets caught in a device, you earn money. The more devices you have placed — and the more variety between them — the more chances there are for cash to come in. Your prison also earns while you are offline, so you can come back to a full wallet.

Place more than one device so multiple friends can be trapped at the same time.
Mix different device types to keep friends moving around the prison.
Log back in after being away to collect the cash your prison earned offline.

Playing with friends

In short A single room holds at most six players, so plan ahead if your group is larger.

Six is the hard cap for one room. If you want to play with more people than that, someone will need to start a separate room.
