Superstar Baseball is an anime-style 7v7 arcade baseball game where up to 14 players compete using special abilities and ultimates. This guide covers the basics of batting, pitching, and fielding, plus how to use styles and spins so you can hold your own from your very first match.
In shortSpending your first ten minutes on controls and getting one attacking and one defending style will give you the steadiest start.
When you enter the game, the screen shows button layouts for each role — read those before anything else. The three roles you will fill across a match are batter, pitcher, and fielder, and touching each one early is the fastest way to understand how they connect. If free spins are available to new players, use them to grab one attacking style and one defending style.
Read the on-screen controlscheck the button guide for each role before your first pitch or swing.
Try batting firstlet at least one pitch pass so you can see where it is heading before you swing.
Try pitching nextthrow each of your pitch types once to feel how they move.
Try fieldingafter you catch the ball, check the green arrow before throwing.
Claim free spinsuse them to secure one attacking style and one defending style.
Stick to standard 7v7get comfortable there before moving to more competitive modes.
In shortBatters win by waiting for strikes; pitchers win by changing both pitch type and location at the same time.
The single biggest batting mistake is swinging the instant the ball leaves the pitcher's hand. Give the ball a moment to travel so you can judge whether it is heading into the strike zone. On the mound, changing only the pitch type while keeping the same location is easy to read — vary both together. Throwing nothing but balls outside the zone will backfire too, because batters will simply wait you out and force you to throw something hittable.
Tips worth knowing
Wait before you swing — watch the ball's path first, then time your swing.
Lay off balls outside the zone — not chasing bad pitches forces the pitcher to throw something better.
Change pitch type and location together — swapping only one of the two still makes you predictable.
After giving up a hit, do not repeat the same pitch-and-location combination straight away.

In shortOnly the closest fielder should chase the ball — everyone else moves to cover a base and wait for the throw.
When a ball is hit, the fielder nearest to it goes for the catch; if everyone rushes the same ball, no one is left to receive the throw and the runner stays safe. Diving is for balls that are just barely out of reach with normal movement — if you can walk to the ball, do not dive, because getting up takes time. After catching, line up the green arrow on the teammate you want and then throw.
Before the pitch, check which bases have runners on them.
Confirm you are the closest fielder before leaving your position.
On balls you cannot quite reach with normal movement, use a divenot before.
For high fly balls in the outfield, approach from slightly behind to avoid overrunning them.
After catching, check the green arrow is pointing at the right teammate before throwing.
Always aim for the nearest base where you can get an out; if that is too far, hit a relay teammate instead.

Styles and spins
Table
In shortGet one attacking style and one defending style first, then use spins to shore up whichever role you find hardest.
Styles come in two flavours: attacking, which helps your batting and pitching, and defending, which helps your catching and throwing. Each style carries its own abilities and an ultimate that activates when conditions are met. A rare style with a complicated activation condition can be harder to get value from than a common style that works every play. After you pull a new style from a spin, play a few matches with it before spending another spin.
Attacking style
improves batting timing and the strength of your hits
Defending style
improves catching range and throwing consistency
Normal spin
spend it on whichever of the two style types you are still missing
Lucky spin
decide what role you want to improve before using it, not after
Post-update styles
new styles and balance changes arrive with updates, so do not rely on a fixed tier list alone

Pitching achievements worth knowing
Summary
In shortThree pitched-game achievements reward you for keeping batters hitless or scoreless across a full game against at least six different opponents.
The game tracks three pitching milestones that become badges. All three require you to pitch the entire game and face at least six unique batters, so they cannot be earned in short or incomplete matches.
Perfect Gameno batter reaches base at all
No-Hitterno batter gets a hit
Shutoutno runs score
Eligibility conditionyou must face six unique batters and pitch the full game for any of the three to count
In shortMost slumps come from one repeatable habit, and fixing that one thing in the next match is faster than chasing a better style.
Losing streaks are rarely caused by style rarity alone. Work through each role one at a time and look for one concrete habit to fix before the next match. Setting a small, measurable target — such as letting two pitches pass before swinging — makes improvement easier to track.
Worth watching out for
Swinging at everythingcheck whether you are swinging on the very first pitch or chasing balls clearly outside the zone.
Pitching the same sequence repeatedlyif a batter has hit you twice in a row, change both the pitch type and the side of the plate.
Whole team chasing one ballif this is happening, stay near your base when the ball is far from you.
Throwing without aimingconfirm the green arrow is on the right target every time before releasing.
Ability not activatingcheck the role you are in, your gauge level, and whether a cooldown timer is still running.

Safety and spending habits
Warn
In shortNever share personal information in chat, and always get a parent's approval before spending Robux.
Superstar Baseball is an online multiplayer game. Keep personal details out of the chat entirely. Styles and packs involve random results, and chasing a loss by buying more spins can add up quickly. The game's free matches, coins, and gear mean you can enjoy the full core experience without spending anything.
Worth watching out for
Never type your real name, school, address, phone number, or social media handle into chat.
Do not follow links sent by other players, even if the sender seems friendly.
Get a parent or guardian's permission before any Robux purchase, and check the price and odds first.
Do not keep spinning to recover a bad pulleach spin is independent and the cost adds up.
Use mute, block, and report on anyone making the game unpleasantdo not argue back.
Never share your password or use exploits; both can get your account banned and spoil the game for others.
Glossary
Glossary
Batter
The player at the plate whose job is to read incoming pitches and swing at those heading into the strike zone.
Pitcher
The player who throws to the batter, aiming to earn outs by varying pitch type and location so the batter cannot time the swing.
Fielder
Any defensive player who chases hit balls, catches them, and throws to a base to put runners out.
Strike zone

Fastball
A fast, relatively straight pitch that forms the backbone of most pitching approaches.
Diving catch

A set of abilities and an ultimate that boost either your attacking play or your defending play, depending on the type.
Ultimate
A powerful style-specific move that activates once you meet its in-match conditions.
Spin

Common questions
FAQ
Can I enjoy the game without spending Robux?
Yes — the core matches, coins, and gear are all available without paying. Items that cost Robux are not required to compete. If you do decide to spend, check the price and get a parent's approval first.
Do I need to know real baseball rules to play?
Not really. The three things that will carry you through early matches are: hit the ball and run to a base, catch the ball and throw it to a base before the runner arrives, and switch between batting and fielding when three outs are made. The on-screen control guide fills in the rest.
How do I play with my friends on the same team?
Use the team creation and invite menu inside Park mode to bring friends into your squad. Once they accept, you compete together against other players.
Are there redeem codes for extra rewards?
Yes, the game supports codes you enter in-game to receive rewards. Most codes can only be used once and some expire after a set time.
Does a rarer style always make me better?
Not automatically. Some styles have complicated conditions that make their abilities hard to trigger in a real match. Always read what a style does and whether its conditions suit your role before deciding it is worth using over a simpler one.
