Ways to earn money

Table
In short The hot chips route pays the most per hour, but store robbery and the box job work fine when you are just starting out.

There are four main income methods in the game: jobs, robbing stores, ATMs, and cooking and selling food. Once you have a vehicle, the chip route becomes even more profitable because you can complete laps faster.

Box Jobmove boxes from a building to a box truck for a small but reliable payout.
Store Robberybring a gun into a robbable store and the cashier hands over cash, averaging around $1,000 per robbery before the cooldown resets.
ATM Methodget a Fake ID from the NPC beside the bank, exchange it at the bank for a credit card, then withdraw money from ATMs.
Hot Chips (2-2 Route)buy 4 potatoes and 4 flour at the Deli for $612, cook them at the Chip Factory, spice them up at the Spice NPC, then sell to four Homeless NPCs in two nearby pairs; earns around $11,000 every 12 minutes.
Marshmallowsbuy gelatin, water, and a sugar block bag from the dealer at the basketball court behind the dealership, cook them on an apartment stove, and sell the finished bags back to the same dealer for $1,000–$3,000.

Getting the most out of the chip route

Tips
In short The chip route earns around $55,000 per hour on foot, and a vehicle increases that further.

The 2-2 chip route earns around $55,000 per hour on foot. A vehicle cuts travel time between stops and pushes that number higher. The route loops: Deli → Chip Factory → Spice NPC → two nearby Homeless NPCs → two more Homeless NPCs near the box job → back to the Deli.

Tips worth knowing
  • Buy 4 potatoes and 4 flour at the Deli for $612 to start the route.
  • A vehicle speeds up the method and increases profits per hour.
  • Sell to all four Homeless NPCs every lap.
