The two roles and what each one does

Table

In short Knowing your role the moment a round starts is the most important thing in this game.

Each room holds up to ten players split between survivors and killers. The two sides have completely different goals, so check which team you are on before you do anything else.

Survivors	complete objectives on the map to cut down the round timer, then escape.
Killers	stop the survivors from reaching the exit before time runs out.

Step

In short Survivors win by finishing objectives and getting out.

As a survivor, escaping is the end goal. Work through the map's objectives to reduce the round time, then head for the exit.

Work the objectives find and complete the map's objectives to reduce the remaining round time.
Head for the exit once objectives are done, escape.
Last Man Standing if you are the last survivor left and escape, that earns the special 'At what cost...' badge, which a normal team escape does not give.

Winning as a killer

Tips

In short A killer wins by making sure no survivor reaches the exit.

Your only job is to keep survivors from escaping.

Tips worth knowing

A round you win as killer for the first time unlocks the 'The game is over...' badge.
Losing your first round as killer unlocks 'Waaaah'.

Glossary

Asymmetrical survival: A game format where two sides have completely different roles and win conditions, the way survivors and killers do here.
LMS (Last Man Standing): The situation where you are the only survivor left in the round and must escape on your own to win.
Alpha: An early stage of a game's development where bugs are expected and the content can change at any time.

How many players can be in one room?

Each room holds up to ten players. They are split between the survivor and killer teams.

What makes the 'At what cost...' badge different from a normal survivor win?

'At what cost...' only unlocks when you escape specifically during Last Man Standing, meaning every other survivor is already out of the game.

Is there any way to guarantee running into the developer?

You simply need to end up in the same room as SarahRandom0_0.
