About

Overview

Catch A Fade 2 is a bare-knuckle PvP brawler where you fight other players, chain combos together, and ragdoll your opponents to prove you are the strongest. This guide covers the basics of combat, how to improve, what to watch out for as an early-access game, and how to redeem codes for rewards.

Core goal of every fight

Summary
In short Every match comes down to landing combos until your opponent ragdolls.

The whole game is built around one-on-one player combat. You throw punches, chain them into combos, and when you land enough hits your opponent's body goes ragdoll. Winning fights raises your rank, and climbing that rank is the main long-term goal.

  • Objective beat other players in direct PvP fights
  • Win condition ragdoll your opponent through sustained combo pressure
  • Progression each win pushes your rank higher
  • Style no weapons, no rules, just hands

Improving your game

Tips
In short Reading your opponent and mastering combos matter more than raw aggression.

Single punches do far less than a full combo, so linking your hits is the most important skill to develop. Over time you will start to notice patterns in how opponents move and attack, and that is when you can start timing your combos to land cleanly instead of just swinging and hoping.

Tips worth knowing
  • Chaining punches into combos deals significantly more damage than throwing them one at a time
  • The more fights you take, the better you get at reading what an opponent is about to do

Bugs and early-access reality

Warn
In short The game is openly in very early stages, so expect rough edges and plan around them.

The game's own page flags that it is in very early stages and tells players to expect bugs. The developers are actively adding new content, so the experience does change over time.

Worth watching out for
If something breaks mid-match, try leaving and rejoining the server before anything else
A full game restart fixes most issues that a server reconnect does not

Redeeming codes

Step
In short Codes are one-use only, so enter them carefully the first time.

The game distributes free codes that give you in-game rewards when redeemed. Each code can only be used once, so there is no point trying a code a second time if it has already gone through.

  1. Type carefully capitalisation and punctuation have to be exact or the code will not work
  2. Each code can only be used once and cannot be used again after it has been redeemed
