KILLSTREAK Guide: Three game modes and how to win them
About
OverviewKILLSTREAK! is a Roblox battle royale where you drop into a shrinking zone, loot weapons from chests, and chain eliminations to unlock powerful abilities. Every consecutive kill you land with your chosen Killstreak Weapon makes it stronger, so staying alive matters as much as dealing damage. This guide covers the game modes, the killstreak and tier system, how to unlock weapons, and tips for surviving into the final zone.

Three game modes and how to win them
TableBefore every match, all players vote on which mode to play, so you cannot lock in a mode by yourself. Two of the three modes split players into teams, while Deathmatch is every player for themselves. In both team modes, the side that is losing by a significant margin gets a comeback bonus at spawn.
| Deathmatch | free-for-all on Wasteland or Waterfall Valley; the player with the most kills after five minutes wins |
| Team Deathmatch | two teams on Containment or The Arena; the team with more kills after five minutes wins |
| King of the Hill | two teams on Containment or The Arena; hold the central circle until your team's combined timer counts down from 120 seconds to zero before the other team does |

How the killstreak tier system works
StepEvery player spawns with four weapons: a random melee, a random ranged, a random utility, and a fourth slot called the Killstreak Weapon, which you choose yourself from your inventory. Only kills made with that fourth weapon push the tier up. Each tier makes the weapon meaningfully stronger, so keeping your streak alive is the core skill of the game.
- Spawn in your Killstreak Weapon starts at Default tier, which is its base kit
- Get your first kill with the Killstreak Weapon it upgrades to Tier 1
- Get a second consecutive kill with it it reaches Tier 2
- Get a third consecutive kill the weapon hits Tier 3, its strongest form
Events running now or coming soon. They have fixed dates, so check them first.
Unlocking and choosing your Killstreak Weapon
CheckWeapon Loot Boxes are earned by levelling up through normal play, so you can unlock weapons of any rarity without spending anything. Once a weapon is in your inventory, you assign it to your Killstreak Weapon slot before a match.
- Level up through matches to earn Weapon Loot Boxes, then open them to add weapons to your inventory
- Rarities from lowest to highest are Default, Common, Rare, Legendary, and Krystal rarer weapons drop less frequently
- Open your inventory screen and assign any unlocked weapon to slot four as your Killstreak Weapon
- New players start with the Ham Sandwich (Default utility), the Hallower Sword (Default melee), and the Sideswipe Revolver (Default ranged) available from the beginning
- Krystal-rarity weapons like the Gravity Grenade and Shattered Star Hammer are purchased with Krystals rather than rolled from standard loot boxes
Utility weapons and consumable rules
WarnUtility weapons cover a wide range of tools: some make you invisible, some give mobility, some deal damage, and some are consumed the instant you activate them. When a consumable is your Killstreak Weapon, your tier freezes the moment you use it — it cannot increase further after that. This makes timing critical.
Badges worth chasing
TipsAll badges in KILLSTREAK! are earned through Battle Royale matches and track kills, assists, deaths, single-match kill runs, and lifetime damage. None require anything other than playing. The kill and assist badges stack in tiers, so each one you earn puts you on the path to the next.
- Start with First Kill, 5 Assists, and 10K Damage — these come naturally in your first few sessions
- Single-match killstreak badges (5 Killstreak through 40 Killstreak) reward staying alive and building a long chain in one game, not cumulative totals
- Assists count when you damage an enemy that a teammate finishes off
- Certified Bot (die 1,000 times) will come on its own
- Lifetime damage badges at 10K and 50K accumulate across all your matches

Common questions
FAQCan I unlock strong weapons without spending Robux?
Weapon Loot Boxes are earned by levelling up through normal play, so you can unlock weapons of any standard rarity without spending anything. Krystal-rarity weapons are purchased with Krystals rather than rolled from loot boxes, but the rest of the roster is available to everyone through play.
How do I change my Killstreak Weapon?
Open your inventory screen and select any weapon you have already unlocked, then set it to the Killstreak Weapon slot.
Can I vote for a specific game mode?
You can cast a vote before the match, but the mode is decided by all players' votes combined.
Which maps go with which game modes?
Wasteland and Waterfall Valley are only used for Deathmatch. Containment and The Arena host King of the Hill and Team Deathmatch.
Where do I redeem codes?
Codes are redeemed by clicking the Twitter icon in the lower right of the game's menu screen.
How do badges work in KILLSTREAK!?
All badges are earned in Battle Royale matches and track things like total kills, assists, deaths, kills in a single match, and lifetime damage dealt. They stack in tiers, so earning the 5 Kills badge puts you on the road to 25 Kills, then 100, and so on.
