Core goal and how a round works
SummaryYou spawn at your team's base and pick a vehicle before heading into battle. The winning condition is simple — outscore the other team. Rank starts at 1, and leveling up unlocks more vehicles and tools over time. Almost every part of the map can be blown apart, so the battlefield changes constantly.
- Victory condition earn more points than the enemy team
- Starting rank rank 1, with more vehicles unlocking as you rise
- Spawn point your team's base at the start of each round
- Map terrain nearly everything is destructible
- Progression higher ranks open more vehicles and equipment
Controls to learn first
CheckMovement uses WASD as you would expect. The two combat keys you will use constantly are F for your main gun and B for the machine gun mounted on almost every vehicle. On foot, left-click fires or uses whatever handheld item you are holding. In the Chinook helicopter, T controls the track instead of the 25mm gun.
- WASD moves you forward, left, back, and right in any vehicle
- B fires the .50 cal machine gun fitted to nearly every vehicle
- T fires the 25mm on the V150 and Vec M1, which is effective against helicopters
- Left-click performs the primary action of any handheld item such as a rifle or C4
- P prevents enemy infantry from boarding your vehicle
Vehicle types and what each one does
TableSix broad categories of vehicle exist, each with a different job on the battlefield. Heavier tanks hit hard but move slowly. Trucks and self-propelled artillery rarely fight head-on but can decide a match through supply runs and long-range fire.
| Tanks (light / medium / heavy) | the most common vehicles; heavier armor means less speed and maneuverability |
| Helicopters | fast and versatile for transport, supply drops, and combat, but vulnerable to anti-aircraft fire |
| APCs | wheeled vehicles that move quickly; weaker armor than tanks but can carry special weapons including anti-aircraft guns |
| Trucks | built for supply transport and towing artillery, not front-line combat |
| Self-propelled artillery (M109, Nashorn, BM-13) | mobile artillery mounted on vehicle chassis for back-line fire support |
| Structures and defenses | stationary walls, towers, Howitzers, and Bofors AA guns built with the build tool |
Infantry tools and portable weapons
TipsThe shop sells a range of portable weapons and tools. The build tool in particular opens up an entirely different style of play centered on fortifying positions.
- The RPG is an anti-vehicle option on foot — premium ammo lets you alternate shots with your tank's main gun to double your damage output
- C4 and sticky dynamite can be placed on an enemy vehicle and detonated for heavy damage
- The build tool lets you construct walls, towers, and stationary weapons like Howitzers and Bofors AA guns
- Foxholes give infantry a place to take cover when vehicles are not available
- Crates power your constructions — shoot an enemy's exposed crates to destroy their supplies and deal splash damage
- The rifle handles general on-foot combat when you are not operating a vehicle
Tactics that actually work
TipsUse team chat to coordinate so the enemy cannot read your plans.
- Helicopter positioning — hover directly above an enemy tank; most tanks lack the gun elevation to hit you there, and keep moving to make it hard to land arc shots on you
- Heavy tank destroyer positioning — vehicles like the Elefant and Jagdtiger are not built for the front line; stay behind your allies and peek from behind hills to support from a distance
- Fortification setup — buy the build tool, bring crates by Chinook or cargo truck, then build an outer wall, a central shell to hide crates in, and a tower for your Howitzer or Bofors gun
- Howitzer placement — set it on a tower or high ground behind your fortifications
- Grenade throws — use a high arc so the grenade drops into foxholes and time the fuse to cut down the enemy's reaction window
- Tank-vs-tank — if you cannot outgun an enemy tank, climbing on top of it can block its ability to shoot you with the main cannon
Glossary
Glossary- APC
- Armored Personnel Carrier — a wheeled vehicle faster than a tank but with lighter armor, sometimes equipped with anti-aircraft weapons.
- Howitzer
- A stationary artillery piece described as the strongest gun in the game; most effective when placed on a tower or high ground.
- Foxhole
- A portable infantry tool that lets you dig a small trench to hide from enemy fire.
- Self-propelled artillery
- Artillery mounted on a vehicle chassis — examples include the M109, Nashorn, and BM-13 — used for mobile back-line fire support.
- Crate
- A supply box used to fuel construction; shooting an enemy's exposed crates destroys their supplies and deals splash damage.
- Build tool
- A shop item that lets you construct walls, towers, and stationary weapons to defend a position.
- Team chat
- A private channel visible only to your team; activate it by clicking the Team label in chat or typing /team before your message.
Common questions
FAQHow do I use a helicopter effectively?
Position yourself directly above an enemy tank — most tanks cannot angle their gun high enough to return fire from there. Keep moving at all times, because a stationary helicopter is an easy target for anti-aircraft weapons.
How do I defend a base properly?
Buy the build tool from the shop, then bring crates in by Chinook or cargo truck. Combine an outer wall, a sheltered area to store crates, and a tower with a Howitzer on top.
What should I do when my vehicle is destroyed?
Switch to your handheld tools and keep fighting. The RPG works well against vehicles, and C4 or sticky dynamite can be placed on an enemy tank for heavy damage. You can also climb onto an enemy vehicle and attack the driver from inside.
