WarnFlashing light effects appear throughout the game. If you are sensitive to flickering visuals, or if you start to feel unwell during a session, step away and rest.
Survivor goal and basic approach
StepSurvivors win if at least one player makes it out through the escape ring — the whole team does not need to escape. That means staying mobile and avoiding the EXE until the ring shows up, then making a run for it.
- Stay moving keep distance between yourself and the EXE as you navigate the map.
- Wait out the ring the escape ring does not appear immediately, so surviving the early pressure is the hardest part.
- Watch for the ring the moment the escape ring appears, head toward it as fast as you can.
- Fight back if you need to Survivors can kill the EXE, so engaging is a real option, not just a last resort.
EXE goal and basic approach
StepThe EXE wins either by taking out all Survivors before the escape ring appears, or by preventing anyone from reaching it once it does.
- Search the map Survivors spread out, so patrol actively rather than staying in one spot.
- Chase down targets once you spot a Survivor, commit to the chase and close the gap.
- Eliminate them make contact with a Survivor to take them out of the round.
