About

Overview

Corrupted Crossroads is an asymmetrical survival game on Roblox where one player hunts as the Corrupted while everyone else tries to finish tasks and escape. Both sides build custom loadouts — choosing a class, abilities, and a sword — so no two rounds play the same way. This guide walks you through the core loop, the task types, the starter classes, and tips for both sides.

The basic loop from intermission to escape

Step
In short Understanding each phase of a round stops you from wasting the time between matches.

Every round begins with an intermission before anyone spawns on the map. Use that window deliberately — it is the only safe moment to rethink your loadout. Once the round starts, roles are locked and the clock is running.

  1. Check your loadout open the intermission screen and look at what class and abilities you have equipped before the round starts.
  2. Find and start tasks as a survivor, locate the uncompleted tasks shown on the checklist in the top-right corner and work through them.
  3. Track the checklist once every task lights up green, exit doors open with 45 seconds left on the clock; head to one immediately.
  4. Escape through the exit reach an open exit door and leave to win the round as a survivor.
  5. As the Corrupted your only job is to stop survivors from escaping.

Four task types and how to handle them

Table
In short Each task punishes failure differently, so knowing what is coming lets you stay calm under pressure.

Tasks are spread across the map and vary by type. Failing certain tasks costs you health, so recognise which type you are at before you start.

Quick Time Eventfill the bar at the bottom of the screen while clicking three times at random intervals when prompted; missing a prompt kicks you out of the task entirely.
Electricalpress Z, X, C, and V in the correct random order; three misses or running out of time gives you about 2 damage from a brief Burning stack.
Firekeep your cursor holding the white bar inside the shifting green zone; losing the zone for too long deals roughly 10 damage from Burning.
Light Puzzlefound only in the Roblox Lab map, this hidden puzzle asks you to figure out the missing number in a code and type it in before pressing the green button.

Starter classes for survivors

Tips
In short All three free classes are genuinely viable — pick the one that matches how you want to play.

Balanced, Speedy, and Tank are all unlocked from the start at no cost. Each trades something for something else, and none of them is a trap pick.

Tips worth knowing
  • Balanced has no real weaknesses and sits at a comfortable health level; when you drop below 30 HP its passive kicks in automatically, giving you Energized I and Haste II to help you pull away.
  • Speedy is the second-fastest survivor in the game and built for chases, but its maximum HP is lower than Balanced and it gets 3% less value from any speed buff.
  • Tank carries 135 HP and 120 stamina — the highest of any class or killer — but its walk and sprint speeds are the slowest in the entire game, so it depends on distance and stamina, not raw pace.
  • When you play Speedy, switch from sprinting to walking the moment you open a gap on the Corrupted — this recovers stamina while your base walk speed is still fast enough to maintain distance.
  • Speed abilities such as Cola Rush, Smoke Escape, and Wild Frenzy have synergy with Speedy.
  • When you play Tank, use Tackle to push the killer off ledges and buy everyone else time.

Buying classes and abilities with Cat Coins

Summary
In short Weekends give a 1.25x bonus to both Coins and XP.

Cat Coins are the main currency for unlocking shop content. Weekends give a 1.25x bonus to both Coins and XP. Some milestones are tracked as achievements.

  • Weekend bonus Coins and XP are multiplied by 1.25 on weekends.
  • Worker class costs 900 Cat Coins and finishes progress-bar tasks 50% faster.
  • Administrator class costs 700 Cat Coins and gives permanent Haste III.
  • Barrier Wall ability costs 450 Cat Coins and can block a charging killer or seal a doorway for 3.25 seconds.
  • Healing Staff ability costs 550 Cat Coins and heals nearby players for 2 HP per second for up to 90 seconds per placement.
  • Freeze Trap ability costs 700 Cat Coins and freezes the Corrupted in place for up to 4 seconds when they step within range.

Playing as the Corrupted

Tips
In short The default Corrupted class rewards good stamina management more than raw aggression.

The Corrupted starts free and has no passives, which means your equipped abilities do all the work. The default sword, the Corruptor, deals 20 damage per hit on a 1.85-second cooldown and applies Corrupted I for 3 seconds, adding a damage-over-time effect that stacks.

Tips worth knowing
  • Because the Corrupted class has no passives, equip at least one mobility ability, one ranged option, and one trapper or vision ability to cover the gaps.
  • The Corruptor's Feeling of Despair passive increases the speed boost survivors get when hit.
  • Pairing Corruptor with Lunging Strike extends the Corrupted I duration on hit from 3 seconds to 4 seconds, increasing total damage over time.
  • Barrier Walls block you for their full duration regardless of stun immunity.

Map hazards and layout basics

Check
In short Every active map has at least one environmental risk worth knowing before the round starts.

Hazards deal status effects automatically on contact, so learning which ones are on your current map changes how you move around it.

  • Crossroads Corruption Piles are scattered around the map and apply Corrupted I on contact; this is also the largest map in the game.
  • Roblox Lab also has Corruption Pile hazards, and contains the only Light Puzzle task in the game, hidden inside the map.
  • Darkwood Swamp (currently disabled) water patches give Slowness II to anyone who steps in them.
  • Botany Research no named hazard, but multiple areas with significant fall damage, including a spot near the second-floor plant task.
  • Glacier Gordon no hazards, but one task requires finding and collecting a key before unlocking a gate, which also opens up a looping spot.
  • Area Zero no hazards, but falling from the upper outdoor section to the lower indoor area deals fall damage.
09

Achievements worth chasing for new players

Tips
In short Several achievements naturally track your progress as you play, while a few require specific setups you need to plan for.

Obliterated Toes is currently unobtainable because critical hits have been removed from the game — do not spend time trying for it.

Tips worth knowing
  • Beginner and Experienced unlock at level 10 and level 25 respectively.
  • Wealthy, Millionaire, and Corrupted Mr. Beast track your total Cat Coins earned at 10,000, 100,000, and 1,000,000.
  • Ouch! That hurts! requires you to complete the fireplace task in Haunted Mansion and then deliberately step into the lit fire — the badge triggers when the Burning status hits you.
  • I can't stop, I can't stop! asks you to reach Speed level 6 or higher in a single round; stacking speed effects counts toward this.
  • Alpha Survivalist requires winning a last-standing survivor round while playing the Useless class, and only on a server with at least 4 players.
  • An Incorruptible Heart requires you to lose as the Corrupted without attacking any survivor — the server must have 4 or more players and simply going AFK does not qualify.

Common questions

FAQ

Can I play for free without spending Robux?

Yes. Balanced, Speedy, and Tank are all free from the start, and Cat Coins can be earned just by playing. Weekends give a 1.25x bonus to both Coins and XP.

How do I find tasks on a map I don't know?

Check the checklist in the top-right corner of the screen — it shows every task and lights up green as each one is completed.

Does the Corrupted player get to use abilities too?

Yes. The Corrupted equips their own set of abilities before each round during intermission, just like survivors do. The default Corrupted class has no passives, so your chosen abilities carry all of your kit's special power.

What happens if all tasks are done before time runs out?

Exit doors open around the map with 45 seconds remaining on the clock. Every survivor still alive needs to reach an exit door and go through it to win the round.

Is Obliterated Toes still earnable?

No. Critical hits have been removed from the game entirely, which means the fall-damage critical that used to trigger the badge can no longer happen.
