The police AI are already in the town when you join, but you have a window before they close in on you. Spend that time walking the map rather than panicking and running. Knowing where vehicles sit and which roads connect where makes every escape after that much easier.
- Walk the map move through the town and get a feel for the street layout before the pressure builds.
- Spot the vehicles find where cars, trains, and aircraft are parked so you can reach them fast later.
- Plan escape routes identify roads and paths that give you quick exits from any part of the town.
- Note the old map layout the map is set to an older version of the town.
Shaking the police AI
Tips
The police AI follows patterns, so giving it the same target in the same vehicle for too long makes you predictable. Cars are fast but visible; trains are harder for the AI to track; aircraft get you out of reach entirely.
- Use a car to put quick distance between you and the police when you need raw speed.
- Board a train when you want to move without drawing as much attention.
- Take to the air in an aircraft to reach heights the police simply cannot follow you to.
- Switch vehicles regularly — staying in one too long makes you easier to chase down.
