About

Overview

Primeval Earth is a Roblox survival game set on a mysterious prehistoric island where you play as a dinosaur or other ancient creature. You can team up with friends or go it alone as you hunt, explore, and fight off other players. This guide covers how to pick a creature, stay alive in the early game, work with a team, and handle PvP.

Picking your creature

Table
In short Each creature type comes with different size and strength.

Each creature type comes with different size and strength, and those differences matter right away. Larger creatures hit harder but need more food to stay alive. Smaller ones are easier to feed but less able to fight back. If you are new, a mid-sized creature gives you a reasonable balance while you learn the island.

Small creatureeasier to keep fed, weaker in a fight
Large creaturestronger in combat, needs more food to survive
Mid-sized creaturebalanced starting point for beginners

Surviving the first few minutes

Step
In short Get your bearings before you wander, and treat food as your first priority.

When you spawn, you land in unfamiliar territory with other players already moving around. Take a moment to look at what is nearby before you run anywhere. Eating regularly keeps your health up, and staying away from crowded spots keeps you from getting caught off guard. If you meet a creature far bigger than yours, running is smarter than fighting.

  1. Check your surroundings scan from your spawn point before moving
  2. Find food locate a food source and eat to keep your health topped up
  3. Avoid other players stay away from areas where many other players are gathered
  4. Avoid large creatures retreat rather than engage anything clearly bigger than you

Playing with a team

Tips
In short Coordinated teams can take on targets that would destroy any single player.

Teaming up lets you hunt creatures and fight players that would be impossible to handle alone. Communication and role-splitting are what make a group work. Keep in mind that more teammates also means more mouths to feed, so food management becomes a shared job.

Tips worth knowing
  • Share your position with teammates so the group stays together
  • Split roles during a hunt — some members chase, others attack
  • Manage food as a team so nobody falls behind on health
  • A larger group also defends better when attacked by rival players
05

PvP situations

Warn
In short Picking your battles carefully matters more than winning every single fight.

PvP is central to this game, so conflict with other players is unavoidable. Before you commit to a fight, check your health and how many players are on each side. Food-rich areas attract a lot of players, so expect confrontations there. Waiting until you have the numbers in your favour will keep you alive far longer.

Worth watching out for
Never start a fight when you are outnumbered or low on health
Fall back and recover before returning to a dangerous area
Stay hidden while moving
Expect enemy players near food-heavy locations
06

Reading the island

Step
In short Scouting before you commit to a new area saves your creature's life.

The island holds multiple areas and events that can turn dangerous without warning. Observing from a distance before entering unknown territory lets you spot threats before they spot you. If a sudden event breaks out nearby, pull back and watch how it plays out rather than rushing in.

  1. Approach new areas from a distance check the size and position of anything that could be hostile
  2. Scout for food and threats together a spot loaded with food is often loaded with danger too
  3. Retreat from events when something unexpected happens, move away and assess before re-engaging

Solo play

Summary
In short Going it alone is a valid way to play.

You do not need a group to enjoy the game. Solo play means hunting and exploring on your own terms, but PvP confrontations will still find you.

  • Solo style hunt and explore independently without coordinating a group
  • Main risk other players can engage you with no backup nearby

Glossary

Glossary
Spawn point
The location where your creature appears when you first enter the game or respawn.
PvP
Player versus player — combat between human-controlled creatures rather than against the environment.
Event
A special occurrence that takes place somewhere on the island during a session.

Common questions

FAQ

Can I play this game alone?

Yes — solo play is a supported style, and you can hunt and explore the island by yourself. That said, PvP is a core part of the game, so expect to run into groups of other players.

What do I do when an enemy player spots me?

If you are low on health or outnumbered, leave immediately and put distance between yourself and the threat. Find food to restore your health, and if possible rejoin or form a team before heading back.
