The core inspection loop
Step
When a survivor appears at the entrance, your job is to figure out whether they are infected before letting them through. You have three tools to work with: your scanner, their documents and supplies, and their behavior. Getting the call right earns you rewards.
- Scan the person run the detection tool over them to check for signs of infection.
- Check their items and documents look at what they are carrying and any paperwork they present.
- Watch their behavior suspicious actions can give away an infection.
- Make your decision allow the survivor into the base or block their entry based on everything you found.
Upgrading your security equipment
TipsEvery correct judgment earns you rewards, and those rewards go straight into improving your setup. Better gear means you can catch infections that a basic scanner would miss.

Boss fights and what to expect

As you work through more inspections, powerful infected bosses will attempt to break through your defenses directly. These are not regular arrival checks — bosses are a full assault on the base, and stopping them requires both your upgraded gear and whatever defensive equipment you have built up.
