Noob Mayhem! is a wave-based action game where you fight off endless hordes of noobs to protect Roblox, developed by the creators of Statue Defenders Go! and currently in alpha. This guide covers controls, how waves and maps work, golden enemies, characters, and the things you should know before diving in.
In shortGet these three controls into your muscle memory before the noobs start rushing you.
Noob Mayhem! runs on PC, mobile, and console, so the feel will differ depending on your device. On PC, the most important keys to confirm right away are dash, shift lock, and emote.
Dashpress Left Shift
Shift lockpress Left Ctrl to lock your camera angle
Emotepress G if you want to use an emote
Device checkif you are on mobile or console, spend a moment getting used to the layout before wave one
In shortEach map has its own setting and story, and clearing them is how you progress through the game.
The game sends you across several distinct locations around Roblox, each overrun by noobs in a different way. Bloxlands is the starting point — a grassy plains area and the first target of the invading horde. Clearing a map on any difficulty earns you the badge tied to it.
Bloxlands the opening map, a grassy plains area; the first place the noob invasion hits
Crossroads a four-path battlefield at the centre of the Robloxian world
Banlands a zone tied to lost creators and banned players, with rebellious enemies
Roblox City an urban map invaded by alien noobs arriving in UFOs
The Castle a medieval setting ruled by the Ancient Noob King and his remnants
Glass Houses defend Billy and Betty Bloxxer and their Guest Army from the modern Noob Army
The Shrine a distinct map unlocked and cleared like the others
The Beach another map to beat on any difficulty
Belimir a further map requiring completion on any difficulty
Endless Mode a survival mode; reaching wave 100 on any difficulty earns its own badge

DOOM BRINGER GUYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY OMGGGGGGGGGGG
In shortA golden enemy is rare and tough, but killing one is one of the best reward spikes in the game.
Any enemy in the game, including bosses, has a 1 in 25,000 chance of spawning as a golden variant. The payoff for killing one is real: golden enemies drop ten times the normal rewards when killed.
Tips worth knowing
Golden enemies can appear on any enemy type, bosses included
The spawn chance is 1 in 25,000
Killing a golden enemy gives ten times the normal rewards

The Big Noob on Bloxlands
Warn
In shortThe Big Noob arrives at wave 5 on Bloxlands and hits harder as difficulty rises, so know what you are walking into.
The Big Noob is a large enemy — twice the size of a standard noob — that first shows up at wave 5 of the Bloxlands map. It moves slowly toward you and deals area damage through stomps and swings. Its health and speed both scale with difficulty.
Worth watching out for
Stomp and swing attacks hit an area around the Big Noob
Check your difficulty before wave 5Casual sits at 375 HP, Normal at 750, Challenge at 938, and Extreme at 1125
Higher difficulties also increase its movement speed
Golden enemies give ten times the normal rewards when killed

Characters and levelling up
Tips
In shortLevelling a character to 100 unlocks major rewards, and maxing all of them unlocks something even bigger.
Characters are central to how you build power in Noob Mayhem! Each one can be levelled up individually, and hitting the cap on one gives you a permanent reward. Going further and capping every released character unlocks a reward for all of them at once. One character, Bloxxer Boss, is unlocked through an external step rather than normal play.
Tips worth knowing
Reach level 100 on any single character — earns the Class Mastery badge and grants that character a rainbow sword
Max every released character — earns Grand Mastery and unlocks the Ban Hammer gear for every character at level 100
Unlock Bloxxer Boss separately — this character requires you to beat the external Roblox game Stack to Heaven and complete its boss battle; the game itself notes it is not designed to be balanced
The next character in development is Doombringer, and a beach-themed character is planned for a summer update

Playing an alpha game
Warn
In shortBecause the game is still in alpha, numbers and mechanics can change without warning at any time.
Noob Mayhem! is publicly available but explicitly in alpha, meaning the developers expect bugs and plan to keep changing things.
Worth watching out for
Any stat or mechanic can change between updates
Bugs are expected by the developers
The newest major feature added was Perks, and the newest stage added was Endless Mode
The only confirmed upcoming stage is called The Finale, with no release window announced
