Steal An Egg is a Roblox game where you sneak eggs away from guardian animals, sprint back to your base, and hatch those eggs into pets that earn you money every second. This guide covers your first run, treadmill upgrades, mutations, boss events, biome progression, and how to handle other players — everything you need to keep moving forward.
In shortA single successful run — steal, sprint, hatch, place — is all you need to understand how the whole game works.
When you load in, follow the on-screen objective marker to a nearby egg in the Forest, which requires no speed to enter. On PC a prompt tells you to press E; on mobile, console, or tablet, tap or press the button that appears on screen. Once you have the egg, follow the red guide line straight back to your base without stopping. Place the egg in the pen, wait for it to hatch, then put the pet in its designated spot and watch your money start to climb.
Check the routebefore grabbing any egg, trace the path back to your base so you are not surprised mid-run.
Grab the egguse E on PC or the on-screen button on other platforms.
Head straight backfollow the red guide line and do not stop to look at other eggs.
Place the egg in the penwait where you are until it finishes hatching.
Assign the petput it in the spot the game marks so it begins earning money.
In shortEach biome needs a minimum speed to enter, but you need even more speed to safely carry a large egg back out.
There are twelve biomes arranged by distance from your base. The speed figures below are the minimums to enter each zone — carrying a heavy egg will slow you down, so build in extra headroom. Angels and Demons is the current endgame biome at 20 billion speed required.

In shortSpeed unlocks every other part of the game, so spend your early coins on the treadmill before anything else.
Training on the treadmill raises your character's speed, and higher speed lets you reach farther biomes where eggs are rarer and pets earn more per second. Upgrading your base to hold more pets can wait until you actually run out of pen space for strong pets. Focus on building a small, stable income from a few pets first, then pour that money into treadmill upgrades. Trails can also carry a speed bonus, so compare your current trail when you have the coins to change it.
Speed determines which biomes you can reach and escape from with an egg.
Pet income get a few pets placed and earning before you upgrade anything else.
Base expansion only worth doing once your pen is genuinely full of strong earners.
Trail check whether your current trail offers a speed bonus and swap it when you can afford to.

Picking and managing pets
Tips
In shortIncome per second is the only number that matters when deciding which pets to keep in your pen.
Every hatched pet generates income per second, and that figure is what drives your ability to buy treadmill upgrades and reach new biomes. Two pets with the same name can earn very differently depending on their size and mutation, so always check the number rather than the name. Eggs also reset every five minutes per biome, so if you miss one there will be another.
Tips worth knowing
Compare pets by their income-per-second number, not their rarity label or appearance.
Egg size is random — a larger egg produces a heavier pet that earns more, but it will also slow you down while you carry it.
Egg color changes appearance only and has no effect on income; judge an egg by its shape and size instead.
Check mutation on every hatch — a color mutation multiplies the base income on top of the size multiplier.
Swap low earners out of the pen when a better pet has nowhere to go.
Keep building your index — reaching certain totals unlocks hand-held weapons as rewards.
06
Color mutations and their income multipliers
Table
In shortRarer mutations multiply income on top of the size bonus, so a high-earning pet with a good mutation pulls far ahead of the same pet without one.
Each color mutation applies its multiplier independently of size. When a pet carries two mutations, the multipliers add together rather than stacking as pure products — so Golden plus Rainbow gives roughly five times base income, not eight and three-quarters. The final income formula is: base income multiplied by the mutation multiplier multiplied by the size multiplier.

Boss events: Rift and Dr. Scramble
Summary
In shortBoth boss events run on a 30-minute cycle and reward you with currencies you can spend on powerful mutations and exclusive items.
Every 30 minutes, Rifts open across the map. Enter one, defeat the Overlord, and collect Boss Tokens. Spend those tokens in the Boss Shop, where you can buy a Mutation Consumable that gives your egg a 10% chance of the Fractured mutation. Boss Mastery points accumulate each time you win, unlocking increasingly rare rewards as you progress. On a separate 30-minute cycle, Dr. Scramble sends drones across the map. Destroy them, collect Samples, and exchange those Samples in the Experiment Shop for items including the Scrambled Mutation Consumable. Defeating Dr. Scramble's Mecha earns Samples that feed a 100-tier Boss Milestone, and reaching tier 100 unlocks an Eternal pet.
Rift event every 30 minutes; defeat the Overlord to earn Boss Tokens.
Boss Shop spend tokens on Fractured Mutation Consumables and other rewards.
Rift Banners three different banners, each with five exclusive pets, rotating every three hours globally.
Dr. Scramble event every 30 minutes; destroy drones to earn Samples.
Experiment Shop exchange Samples for Scrambled Mutation Consumables and other limited items.
Boss Milestone reach tier 100 across Dr. Scramble victories to unlock an Eternal pet.

The Angels and Demons biome and fusion pets
Tips
In shortThis biome shifts form every night and is the only place to obtain the two fusion pets, making it a long-term goal for any serious player.
Angels and Demons requires 20 billion speed and sits at the far end of the progression chain. Each night it randomly becomes an Angel zone, a Demon zone, or a rare Merged form that runs both sides at once with extra luck active. A Secret Shrine is hidden inside the biome's waterfall area. At the shrine you can combine one Light pet with its Darkness counterpart of the same rarity to craft a fusion pet.
Tips worth knowing
Combine Pegasus and Skeleton Horse at the Secret Shrine to craft Equinox.
Combine ArchAngel and World Burner at the Secret Shrine to craft Aetheron.
Both sides of the biome have their own eight pets, so visit on different nights to collect from both pools.
The Secret Shrine is accessible in all three forms of the biome — Angel, Demon, and Merged.
You need 20 billion speed just to enter — treat this as an endgame destination and keep upgrading your treadmill.
09
Situations where you keep getting caught
Check
In shortGetting stopped in the same spot every run means the biome is too advanced for your current speed — stepping back one area is the fastest fix.
The game naturally filters you out of areas you are not fast enough to handle yet. Rather than grinding the same losing run, drop back to a closer biome, collect more eggs, upgrade the treadmill, and return when your speed has improved. Each problem below has a specific cause worth checking before you try again.
Caught before the halfway pointyour speed is too low for this biome; go back one zone and upgrade first.
Sudden slowdown the moment you grab an eggthe egg is too heavy for your current speed; try a smaller egg in the same biome instead.
Caught right outside your basetry a route with fewer sharp turns and check whether a speed-boosting trail helps.
Money feels slowopen your pet list, check each pet's income per second, and replace the lowest earners.
Pen is completely fullremove your weakest pets before spending coins on a base expansion.
In shortPlayer competition is part of the game, but your placed pets and earned progress stay with you no matter what.
While you carry an egg back to base, other players can try to take it, and your own animals can be targeted too. This is an intended part of the game rather than a bug. Losing an egg mid-run is frustrating, but any pets already placed at your base keep earning while you go after the next one. You can use bear traps defensively — place one on the map to freeze a chasing player for seven seconds. You can have a maximum of three traps placed at once, and they cannot be set in the safe zone.
Worth watching out for
Skip eggs that several players are already competing overfind a quieter egg or try a different server.
Bear traps freeze anyone carrying an egg for seven seconds; you can place up to three at a time, but not inside the safe zone.
Never share your password, real name, or any personal details with other players, in chat or through any outside service.
Do not reply to players who send rude or pressuring messagesuse the report and block tools instead.
Losing a carried egg does not erase your placed pets or your treadmill upgrades, so reset your run and go again.

Redeem codes
Step
In shortCodes expire and can only be used once per account, so enter any code you find as soon as possible.
The game has a code-entry field built into its menus. Valid codes give you in-game rewards such as items or money. Most codes work only once on a single account and stop working after their expiry date.
Type carefullyenter the code exactly as shown, matching uppercase and lowercase letters.
Submit straight awaycodes expire, so do not save them for later.
Check official sources regularlythe developers announce new codes on their official social pages.

Common questions
FAQ
What should I upgrade first?
Put your early coins into the treadmill. Greater speed opens up farther biomes with rarer eggs and stronger pets. Only expand your base's pet capacity once your pen is actually full of high-earning pets.
Does egg size matter?
Yes — egg size is random, and a bigger egg produces a heavier pet that earns more per second. The trade-off is that heavier eggs slow you down while you carry them.
How do mutations stack when a pet has two of them?
The multipliers add together rather than multiply against each other. A Golden pet (x2.5) with a Rainbow mutation (x3.5) ends up at roughly five times base income, not eight and three-quarters.
Can I play without spending Robux?
The main progression — stealing eggs, hatching pets, and upgrading the treadmill — is fully free. Some premium eggs are sold in the store with Robux, but the large majority of pets are reachable through regular play across the twelve biomes.
What do I do if another player keeps stealing my eggs?
Move to a different egg or switch servers to find a quieter spot. You can also place bear traps to freeze a chasing player for seven seconds. Any pets already in your pen keep earning even when a run fails, so the loss is limited to that one egg.
Does the game work on mobile and console?
Yes — the game supports desktop, mobile, tablet, and console.
What is the Secret Shrine in Angels and Demons?
It is a hidden location inside the Angels and Demons biome's waterfall area, accessible in all three forms of the biome. Bring a matching pair of Light and Darkness pets of the same rarity there to fuse them into a new pet — Pegasus and Skeleton Horse combine into Equinox, while ArchAngel and World Burner combine into Aetheron.
What is the Cosmic Skeleton Boss?
The Cosmic Skeleton Boss is a Secret-rarity pet from the Cosmic biome that earns $45 million per second. A server-wide announcement appears when its egg spawns.
