How the core loop works
SummaryThe entire game runs on three actions that feed into each other. Every step you take adds one to your speed. When you reach the end of a stage and clear its obstacles, you unlock a multiplier that makes future speed gains bigger. Once you feel your growth slowing, you can rebirth — this resets your progress back to the start but hands you a speed multiplier that stacks on top of everything you earned before.
- Walking adds one speed for every step you take
- Stage clear unlocks a new multiplier when you finish a stage
- Rebirth resets progress but grants a permanent speed multiplier
- Multiplier stacking each rebirth makes the next run faster than the last
Getting started
StepThere is nothing complicated about the opening of a run. Start walking and do not stop. Obstacles will appear as you move through the backrooms — get past them to push into the next stage.
- Start moving walk anywhere in the map to begin stacking speed immediately
- Clear obstacles get around or through whatever blocks the path so the stage can complete

When and why to rebirth
TipsRebirth resets your current speed and stage progress, but the speed multiplier it grants stays with your account permanently. Every rebirth you complete makes the run after it faster, because your stacked multipliers apply from step one. The badge for completing all stages is also unaffected by rebirthing — cleared stages stay on record.
- The permanent multiplier you earn stacks with every previous one you collected
- Your next run will reach higher speeds far sooner than the run before it
- Stage completion history is not wiped, so badge progress carries through rebirths
Extra speed sources
CheckTwo things outside the stage loop can speed up your progress. The in-game shop sells trails — these are visual effects that follow your character. Inviting friends gives you a speed boost, and inviting more than one person stacks those boosts together.
- Buy a trail from the shop
- Invite a friend to unlock a speed boost
- Invite multiple friends to stack the speed boost higher
Badge and completion
WarnA badge is awarded for completing all stages in the game. Because rebirthing does not erase your cleared-stage record, you can earn it across multiple runs.

Common questions
FAQWhy does my speed seem to stop growing?
Choose rebirth to collect a permanent speed multiplier, then start the next run — you will reach your previous speed much faster and push well past it.
Do I lose my badge progress when I rebirth?
No. Cleared stages stay on record even after a rebirth. You can spread your stage completions across as many runs as you need and still earn the badge.
Does inviting more than one friend help?
Yes. Each friend you invite adds a speed boost, and those boosts stack together.
