How a round works

Step
In short Surviving each round is how you level up, so staying alive is always the priority.

Each round throws a disaster at you, and getting through it earns you experience toward the next level. Reaching level 10 unlocks the Level 10! badge, which makes it a good first goal to aim for.

  1. Stay alive every round you survive pushes your level higher.
  2. Chase level 10 it is the first major milestone the game marks with a badge.
  3. Expect multiple disasters some rounds stack two, four, or even more in a row.

Escape options by disaster type

Tips
In short Different disasters call for different exits, so knowing your options keeps you alive longer.

Some disasters give you a vehicle or special route to escape through. Others put you in the driver's seat in an unexpected way. Learning what each situation offers is the difference between surviving and not.

Tips worth knowing
  • When a helicopter appears, board it and fly to safety to earn the Helicopter Pilot badge.
  • When a ship shows up, sail it to a safe location for the Ship Captain badge.
  • For the Nuclear disaster badge, you need to be the one who causes the nuclear disaster, not just survive it.
  • Reaching space unlocks the Beyond infinity badge.
  • Try surviving a round without touching the balloon at all to earn the No balloon badge.
  • If your HP drops below 10 and you still make it out, you will earn the Close call badge.

Badge progression from beginner to completionist

Table
In short Working through badges from easiest to hardest gives you a clear long-term roadmap.

There are 16 badges in total. Collecting every badge except Master of disasters unlocks Master of disasters itself. Some badges have specific conditions that are easy to miss, so read each one carefully before you try for it.

Map editor and the Team building badge

Check
In short The map editor is best used with a friend, and doing so also unlocks a badge.

The game lets you build your own maps in its editor. You can invite someone else in, or ask a friend to invite you, and either way the Team building badge unlocks. Every Wednesday a free custom map submission slot opens up.

  • Invite a friend to the map editor, or accept their invitation, to unlock Team building.
  • Check in on Wednesdays to submit or access the free weekly custom map.
  • If you have Roblox Premium, you receive a free flying cloud item in this game.

Common questions

FAQ

Can I earn the Lonely survivor badge by playing alone?

No. The badge specifically requires other players to be on the same server, and you must outlast all of them. It will not award if you are the only person on the server to begin with.

What do I need to do to unlock Master of disasters?

You need to earn every other badge in the game first. That includes vehicle badges like Helicopter Pilot and Ship Captain, multi-disaster badges like Quadruple disaster!, and special-condition badges like Lonely survivor and Nuclear disaster. Once all of them are collected, Master of disasters unlocks automatically.
