Your first moves after spawning

Step
In short Getting builders out and windmills built is the single most important thing you can do at the start.

You spawn at your castle at the beginning of every match. Before anything else, get your builders working so resources start flowing in.

  1. Call your builders right-click or tap your castle to recruit a couple of builders.
  2. Select a builder click on one to select it, then move it toward a nearby farm.
  3. Build a windmill place a windmill close to the farm so it starts generating income.
  4. Repeat until you have three windmills three is the minimum before you move on.

Building your army

Step
In short Only start building military structures once your windmills are generating enough income to support them.

Once you have at least three windmills running, you have enough of a resource base to shift into military production.

  1. Build a Barracks this lets you recruit basic infantry units including swordsmen.
  2. Build a Siege Workshop this unlocks heavier, more powerful unit types beyond basic infantry.
  3. Hit fifteen swordsmen in one match doing so earns the Legion badge.

How combat actually works

Tips
In short Units fight on their own, so your job is to send the right number at the right moment.

Once you deploy units they automatically attack anything in their path, so you do not need to micromanage individual soldiers. Your decisions are about timing and numbers.

Tips worth knowing
  • Save resources until you can release a large wave of units at once rather than trickling them out.
  • Watch the enemy castle's defences before committing — if their army is still strong, wait for a better moment.
  • Have your next wave ready before the current one is wiped out so you keep pressure on.
  • Destroying all enemy castles is the win condition.
  • You can earn the Revenge badge by destroying an enemy castle even after your own castle is gone.
  • Winning a match in under fifteen minutes earns the Strategy badge.
04

Alliances and game modes

Summary
In short Knowing which mode you are playing and whether you have allies changes how you should approach each match.

The game offers more than straight solo play. Matchmaking and optional cooperation both affect how a match unfolds.

  • Levels 1–5 matched against other beginners.
  • Level 6 and above matched against more experienced players.
  • Level 7 Ranked mode unlocks, adding a competitive ladder.
  • Alliances teaming up with another player and winning together earns the Teamwork badge.
  • Survival mode a separate mode where the goal is to last through 100 waves, rewarded by the Survivor badge.
05

Progression and long-term goals

Common questions

FAQ

Do I need to spend Robux to be competitive?

No. All standard matchmaking matches are free to enter. The only paid option is a private server game pass, which adds extra commands but is not needed for regular play.

What should I do if my game feels completely stuck?

Count your windmills first. Fewer than three means your income is too low to build or recruit anything meaningful. Add another windmill before trying to build military structures.

Can I still win after my castle is destroyed?

Yes. The Revenge badge is awarded for destroying an enemy castle even when your own castle is no longer standing, which means you can keep fighting and potentially turn the match around.
