Opening the menu and reading the help section

Step

In short Check the Help section before anything else so you know the controls from the start.

The menu is your first stop every time you load in. Inside it you will find a Help section that covers the controls and how the game works, which saves a lot of guesswork early on.

Open the menu press TAB on keyboard, hold SELECT on Xbox, or hold the touchpad on PlayStation.
Go to Help read through the controls and game information listed there.

Power level milestones worth knowing

Power level is the main measure of how strong your character has become. The game marks eight specific milestones with badges, giving you clear targets to chase as you grow.

Tips worth knowing

The first milestone is 100,000 — a solid early goal to set your sights on.
After that the targets climb to 1,000,000 then 10,000,000.
Further milestones sit at 25,000,000, 50,000,000, 100,000,000, and 200,000,000.
Each milestone unlocks a badge, so you always know when you have cleared a major step.

Zeni and bounty goals

In short Zeni and bounty each cap at 1,000,000, and both paths reward you with badges for reaching that cap.

Zeni is the game's currency, and bounty is the price on your head as a player. Both have the same ceiling.

Zeni cap	1,000,000, which unlocks the Millionaire! badge.
Bounty cap	1,000,000, which unlocks the Most Wanted badge.
Bounty Hunter role	switching to it unlocks the Bounty Hunter badge immediately.

Karma, conquering planets, and other goals

In short Karma runs in two directions and each extreme has its own badge, so you can build toward either.

Beyond power level and Zeni, the game tracks karma, age, planet conquest, and killstreaks. Each one opens a different badge.

Push karma to its positive maximum to unlock The Just badge.
Push karma to its negative maximum to unlock The Wicked badge.
Conquer a planet to unlock the Conqueror badge.
Reach an in-game age of 100 to unlock the Century badge.
Kill ten freshie players in a row to unlock the Freshie Killer badge.

Rules against exploits and third-party software

Power Level: The number that measures how strong your character is, with eight official milestones between 100,000 and 200,000,000.

What is the difference between bounty and being a Bounty Hunter?

Bounty is the price on your own head as a target, and it caps at 1,000,000. Becoming a Bounty Hunter flips the script — you hunt other players with bounties on them and collect Zeni as a reward, with a separate badge unlocking once you have collected 1,000,000 Zeni that way.

Which direction should I push my karma?

Both directions have a badge waiting at the extreme end. Positive maximum unlocks The Just and negative maximum unlocks The Wicked.
