About

Overview

WikiRace! is a Roblox game where you start at a random encyclopedia article and race to reach a target article by clicking links inside each page — no searching, no shortcuts, just the links in front of you. Up to 80 players can compete in the same room, and multiple game modes are available, including ranked 1v1 matches. This guide covers the core rules, strategies for cutting your path short, and what you need to know to earn every badge.

Core rules before you start

Check
In short Every player starts at the same random article and can only move by clicking links within the page.

When a round begins, everyone gets the same starting article. The only way to move is to click a link that appears inside the current page — there is no other method of navigation. The first player to land on the target article wins that round and earns XP, coins, and a leaderboard spot.

  • Everyone starts at the same randomly chosen article each round.
  • Only in-page links count you cannot skip, search, or jump directly to any article.
  • Landing on the target article first wins you the round.
  • Multiplayer badges only count when at least 2 players are present at the start of the match.
  • Ranked mode lets you race 1v1 against another player specifically.
  • You can customize your in-game laptop, theme, and cursor in the cosmetics options.

Finding a fast path through articles

Tips
In short Routing through broad, heavily linked topics is the fastest way to close the gap between your start and the target.

The fewer links you use and the less time you spend, the better. Learning to steer through well-connected articles is the skill that separates quick finishes from long detours.

Tips worth knowing
  • When a proper noun related to your target appears in an article, click it immediately to check whether it leads you closer.
  • Avoid revisiting an article you have already seen — it costs time and can block certain badges.
03

Badge progression from first round to veteran

Step
In short Reaching the target repeatedly, then taking on multiplayer wins and speed challenges, is the natural path through the badge list.

Badges are tiered by how many rounds you have completed and how well you have played them.

  1. First Steps Reach the target in your very first round to unlock this immediately.
  2. Getting the Hang of It Keep finishing rounds until you have reached the target 10 times total.
  3. Wiki Veteran Push to 100 total completions; this is a long-term goal worth tracking.
  4. Photo Finish Win one full multiplayer match while at least 2 players started in the room.
  5. On a Roll and Unstoppable Win 3 and then 5 multiplayer matches in a row, each with at least 2 starting players.
  6. Centurion Accumulate 100 multiplayer match wins over time.

Speed and efficiency badges

Table
In short Each speed badge adds a stricter condition, so tackle them in order from easiest to hardest.

These badges all reward finishing quickly or efficiently, but each one has a different constraint. Read the condition carefully before you attempt it so you do not waste a good run.

Daily Race habits

Summary
In short Daily Races count by calendar day in UTC, not by streak, so you can chip away at them at your own pace.

Official Daily Races reset each UTC day. You do not need to play on consecutive days — the game tracks the total number of different UTC days on which you completed a Daily Race, and the badge unlocks once you hit the required number.

  • Daily Discovery Complete your very first Daily Race by reaching the target.
  • Daily Regular Reach the target on 7 different UTC days across Daily Races; no streak needed.
  • Daily Devotee Do the same across 30 different UTC days; spread them out however works for you.
  • UTC day the count flips over at midnight Coordinated Universal Time, not your local midnight.
06

Long-haul article-count badges

Warn
In short These badges accumulate across many sessions, so do not try to rush them in a single sitting.

Three badges track how many distinct articles you have visited across all your races.

Worth watching out for
Explorer counts 100 unique articles visited during races.
Walking Encyclopedia requires 1,000 unique articles.
Human Search Engine demands 5,000 unique articles across rounds where you actually reach the target.
Scenic Route asks you to visit 20 different articles in a single round.
07

Account safety while playing

Warn
In short Cheating or sharing personal information can cost you your account permanently.

WikiRace! puts you in a room with up to 80 other players, some of whom you will not know. Keep your account and personal details protected at all times.

Worth watching out for
Never use external cheating tools or scripts Roblox detects them and suspends accounts.
Do not type your name, address, school, or any other personal information into the in-game chat.
No legitimate player or moderator will ever ask for your password; refuse immediately if anyone does.

Common questions

FAQ

Can I move between articles any way other than clicking links?

No. The only movement allowed is clicking a link that appears inside the current article. Any other method of navigation is not permitted by the game.

Do Daily Race days have to be consecutive to count?

No streak is required. The game counts the total number of different UTC days on which you completed a Daily Race, so you can take days off without losing progress toward Daily Regular or Daily Devotee.

How many players need to be in a room for multiplayer badges to count?

At least 2 players must be present when the match starts. Winning a match as the only player in the room does not count toward badges like Photo Finish, On a Roll, or Centurion.

Are the encyclopedia articles the same as Wikipedia?

The content comes from the same source but passes through automated filtering that removes unsuitable topics and problematic language to make the game more appropriate for younger players. The articles are used under the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence, and sources and modifications are identified inside the game.
