Baboon Tag Ultra
How infection mode works
SummaryBaboon Tag Ultra runs on an infection ruleset. One or more players start as the tagger, and anyone they touch becomes a tagger too. The round ends when either time runs out or everyone has been tagged.
- Runners survive until the round ends without being touched
- Taggers touch every remaining runner to win
- Role change contact with a tagger turns a runner into a tagger instantly
- Maps jungle, caves, and city each have different terrain to use or avoid
- Movement running, jumping, and climbing are all available and all matter
Escaping as a runner
TipsBecause the maps include walls, rocks, and obstacles you can climb, moving in three dimensions is almost always better than staying on flat ground.
- Climb walls and rocks to get above taggers and create distance quickly
- Never run toward a group of taggers — turn and go the opposite way
- Avoid dead ends and narrow passages where taggers can block both sides
Chasing as a tagger
TipsWorking with other taggers to funnel runners into tight spots gives you a much higher chance of making a tag.
- Move to cut off where a runner is heading rather than chasing from behind
- Stay close enough to other taggers that you can form a pincer
- Push runners toward narrow corridors or dead ends where escaping is harder
The obby and the secret hideout
StepTwo of the game's six badges come from exploration rather than the tag gameplay itself. The obby is an obstacle course built into the game, and finishing it earns you a badge. Somewhere on the maps there is also a hidden spot that, once found, awards its own badge.
- Complete the obby the badge only unlocks when you reach the end
- Hunt for the hideout search the maps for the secret spot
- Collect the badge finding the hideout triggers the reward
All six badges
TableEach badge is tied to a specific action.
