The two roles and what they mean
TableWhen you join, one player takes the Human role and the other takes the Worm role. These roles shape everything about how you play, so agree on who does what before the obstacles begin.
| Human | carries and protects the Worm through every obstacle |
| Worm | follows the Human's lead and stays close at all times |
| Worm | has limited movement, so the Human does the heavy lifting |
The three areas in order
StepThe game runs through three areas from start to finish. Each one you complete earns you a badge, and a progress bar shows how far along you are at any point.
- Grasslands Start here.
- Desert The second area, unlocked after you finish the Grasslands.
- The Mountains The third and final area. Finishing it means you have beaten the game.
- Progress bar Check it whenever you want to know exactly where you stand in the current area.
- Stage skip If one obstacle is stopping you cold, use the skip feature added in Update 3 to move past it and keep going.
Things to sort out before you start
CheckYou cannot complete this game alone, so the first thing to confirm is that a second player is actually with you. A few other setup choices will make the session go better.
- Bring a friend the game cannot be finished without a second player
- Switch to a private server if either player is experiencing lag (private servers are free)
- Pick your skins if you want to customise how your characters look
What costs nothing and what is optional
SummaryYou do not need to spend anything to reach the end of the game.
- All three areas free to play through
- Private servers free to create and use
- Stage skip free feature added in Update 3
- Skins optional cosmetic only, no effect on how the game plays

Common questions
FAQCan I play this by myself?
No. The game requires two players and cannot be completed solo. You need a friend to take the second role before you can get through any of the areas.
The game is really laggy — what should I do?
Switch to a private server. It is free to use and gives you and your friend a much smoother session away from crowded rooms.
Do I need to buy skins to beat the game?
No. Skins only change how your character looks. The default characters can clear every area and earn every badge without any purchase.
What happens when we finish an area?
Each area you complete awards both players a badge — one for the Grasslands, one for the Desert, and one for the Mountains. Clearing all three means you have finished the game.
We keep failing the same obstacle. What can we do?
Use the stage skip feature. It was added in Update 3 specifically for moments like this, and it lets you move past a single obstacle without losing your overall progress.
