The day-night cycle
SummaryBikini Bottom runs on a strict day-night loop. During the day you can move around safely, collect gear and clues, and scout hiding spots. When night falls, creatures start hunting, and your job is to stay out of sight until morning. Clearing each night's challenge pushes the story forward and opens up a new area.
Surviving the night
TipsOnce creatures are active, every move carries risk.
- Once you are inside a hiding spot, stay put until you are sure the creature has moved on
- Listen for sounds — creature cries and footsteps tell you where danger is without you having to look
- Use the multiple hiding spots you scouted during the day rather than committing to just one
- If the night challenge sends you to a specific location, wait for a gap in creature movement before crossing open ground
- Flashlights and equipment can draw attention, so use them carefully and only when necessary
Progression goals worth aiming for
CheckThe game has 25 badges that reveal exactly what it rewards. Some come automatically from surviving long enough; others require specific actions.
- Survive to Day 10, then Day 20, and keep going in ten-day steps all the way to Day 100 these are the backbone milestones
- Defend against an Anchovy Night Raid to earn the Night Shift badge
- Upgrade the Jelly Hive through all six levels (Jellykeeper badges I through IV track this)
- Upgrade the Crafting Bench to Level 3 for the Acorn Engineer badge
- Find and save all five missing residents for the Bikini Bottom Hero badge saving none earns the Shellfish badge instead
- Revive a knocked-out teammate with a Bandage or Medkit to earn Krabby Care, and survive Day 100 with a full team of five for Super League
Co-op play and reviving teammates
TipsThe game supports multiplayer, and some of its hardest badges require a team.
- The Super League badge requires reaching Day 100 with exactly five players
- Carry a Bandage or Medkit so you can revive an unconscious teammate and earn the Krabby Care badge
- Complete all of the Mailman's requests to earn Delivery Ace
Challenge badges that change how you play
WarnTwo Day-100 badges directly conflict with normal play habits.
When you are stuck
CheckIf progress has stopped, run through these checks before giving up on a night.
- Check that you are attempting the night's puzzle steps in the right order if there are multiple tasks
- Confirm your hiding spot is actually safe some spots look sheltered but leave you exposed
- Study the creature's pattern before moving so you know when gaps appear
- Make sure you have the equipment and gear the night's objective needs before darkness falls

Common questions
FAQCan I play on mobile or console?
Yes — the game runs on PC, mobile, tablet, and console.
Do I need to spend money to finish the game?
The full story, all exploration, and all puzzle-solving are available without spending anything. Liking the game and joining the community can earn exclusive rewards, but those are not required to reach the ending or unlock any badge.
What happens if I reach Day 100 without saving any residents?
You earn the Shellfish badge for completing the run that way. It conflicts with the Bikini Bottom Hero badge, which requires saving all five residents, so plan which goal you want before you start.
