01

Core goal and how a round works

Summary
In short Every round ends when one colony's queen is eliminated, so protecting your queen matters as much as attacking the enemy's.

Each match starts with your colony and at least one rival colony underground. You dig through the earth to reach enemy tunnels, fight their ants along the way, and eventually push deep enough to find and kill the enemy queen. At the same time, the enemy is trying to do exactly the same thing to you.

  • Objective eliminate the enemy queen to win the round
  • Digging how you advance toward enemy territory
  • Combat mandibles, stingers, and acid are your three attack options
  • Survival if your queen dies, you can still fight on as the last ant standing

Your three attacks

Tips
In short The game tracks kills by biting, stinging, and spraying acid separately through three distinct badges.

You have three ways to fight enemy ants: mandibles (biting), a stinger, and acid. The Muncher badge requires 100 kills by biting, the Stinger badge requires 50 kills with a stinger, and the Sprayer badge requires 50 kills with acid.

Tips worth knowing
  • Muncher badge — 100 enemy ants eliminated by biting
  • Stinger badge — 50 enemy ants eliminated with a stinger
  • Sprayer badge — 50 enemy ants eliminated with acid
03

Digging toward the enemy queen

Tips
In short Digging is how you reach the enemy colony; the Excavator badge gives a sense of how much tunneling is involved.

The Excavator badge asks you to dig out 150 blocks. Larva found in enemy territory can be looted and returned to your nest — 50 returns earns the Looter badge.

Tips worth knowing
  • Dig toward the enemy colony to reach their queen
  • Excavator badge — dig out 150 blocks
  • Looter badge — loot and return 50 larvae to your home nest
  • Giant Slayer badge — slay a supermajor ant while playing as a minor ant
04

Caste rank milestones

Step
In short Caste rank is a long-term progression system with five named milestones.

As you play, you earn caste rank. There are five badge milestones: rank 5 (Worker), rank 10 (Soldier), rank 20 (Drone), rank 30 (Alate), and rank 40 (Queen).

  1. Rank 5 Worker badge
  2. Rank 10 Soldier badge
  3. Rank 20 Drone badge
  4. Rank 30 Alate badge
  5. Rank 40 Queen badge
05

Support and team play

Tips
In short Healing allies and winning with your starting colony are both rewarded with badges.

The Medic badge requires healing 2,000 points of ally health. The Victory badge requires winning a round as the colony you started in.

Tips worth knowing
  • Medic badge — heal 2,000 points of allies' HP
  • Victory badge — achieve victory as the colony you started the round as

Cosmetics and platform notes

Tips
In short Cosmetics are purely visual and the game runs on every major platform.

Version v1.43 added a cosmetic system that lets you change how your ant looks. Appearance changes do not affect combat. The game is playable on PC, mobile, and console.

Tips worth knowing
  • Cosmetics change your ant's appearance only — no combat effect
  • Playable on PC, mobile, and console
