Choose the Stronger Anime — How a match works
About
OverviewChoose the Stronger Anime! gives you a $20 budget to draft an anime team, then pits it against other players' teams to see whose picks were stronger. Up to 30 people can play in one room, so you're always competing against real opponents. This guide covers how to draft well, which badges to chase, and how to get the most out of every match.

How a match works
StepEach round starts with the draft phase, where everyone spends their $20 budget on anime characters. Once all picks are in, the game compares teams and the stronger side wins.
- Check your budget you start with exactly $20 each round.
- Pick characters each character has a price and a strength to weigh against your remaining budget.
- Manage the remaining dollars try to spend every last dollar before the phase ends.
- Compare and settle when everyone is done, teams are shown side by side and the winner is decided.
Draft strategies worth knowing
TipsThe core decision every round is whether to sink most of your budget into one powerful character or spread it across several solid ones. The game itself points to a balanced team as a key to winning, but a single overpowered character is a legitimate approach too.
- X tier is the highest rarity level, so an X-tier character on your team is a strong signal that you have firepower.
- C tier is a lower rarity level — those characters are cheaper, which lets you fill out a team with more slots.
- Ultra-rare meme characters can appear in the draft pool and are worth grabbing if you spot one.
Badges and how to earn them
TableEach badge has a specific condition — read the 'How to earn it' column before you decide what to target in a session.
| Badge | How to earn it |
|---|---|
| Underdog | Win a match against a real player using only C-tier or lower characters |
| Power Scaler | Win 100 matches against real players |
| Jackpot | Draft one of the ultra-rare meme characters |
| Reality Author | Win a match against a real player with an X-tier character on your team |
| Bargain Hunter | Buy a character for $1 or less that turns out to be worth 50 or more, in a real match |
| Plush Enjoyer | Squeeze the in-game plushes 500 times total |
| Perfection | End a match holding all of the value on the table |
Two badges you can grind on your own terms
TableUnlike badges that depend on a rare draft outcome or a tricky win condition, these two reward consistent play over time.
| Plush Enjoyer | squeeze the plushes 500 times; you can chip away at this between matches without needing a win. |
| Power Scaler | reach 100 match wins; this is the longest haul in the game. |
