[PATCH] HEDGEHOG TESTING
Controls for keyboard and controller
TableThe game lists controls for both keyboard and controller, so you can start with whatever you have. A controller is recommended. If you only have a keyboard, you can still reach every skill — nothing is locked behind a controller.
| Jump | Space (keyboard) / A or ╳ (controller) |
| Spindash | Shift or F (keyboard) / X or □ (controller) |
| Rollhop | E (keyboard) / B or ◯ (controller) |
| Lightspeed Dash | Q (keyboard) / Y or △ (controller) |
| Air Trick | R (keyboard) / RB or R1 (controller) |
| Pause | P (keyboard) / Select or Back (controller) |
| Camera Orbit | LT+RT / L2+R2 (controller only) |
What each movement skill actually does
SummaryYou have four main movement skills plus Air Trick for mid-air adjustments. Spindash and Lightspeed Dash both let you cover ground fast, but Lightspeed Dash moves you further and is better suited to clearing long stretches or enemy-dense sections. Rollhop gives you extra control while you're already airborne. Air Trick lets you fine-tune your height during a jump, which can save you from a fall or help you reach something higher up.
- Spindash charges up and launches you forward
- Lightspeed Dash moves you much faster than Spindash over longer distances
- Rollhop activated in the air, it lets you adjust where you land or shift sideways mid-jump
- Air Trick tweaks your altitude while airborne, helping you avoid pits and reach tall ledges
Common places players get stuck
WarnBefore trying a different skill combination, rule out a simple control problem first. Make sure the skill you want is actually firing — some moves require precise timing or simultaneous presses.

Common questions
FAQShould I start with a keyboard or a controller?
The game officially recommends a controller, so use one if you have it. A keyboard covers every skill except Camera Orbit, so you will not be locked out of anything important if that is all you have.
I keep dying on the same spot. What should I try?
Hit Pause and take a look at the section from a still position. If the path looks right but you still fail, try a different skill combination.
Is there anything I need to buy to access all the skills?
The game description lists all skills as part of the base controls, with no mention of purchases or locked content.
What does the shutdown notice in the description mean?
The description reads 'SHUTDOWN = UPDATE', which means when the game goes offline it is being updated rather than closed permanently.
