Moving through Mirage
StepMirage is the most played map in Defuse Division. From the terrorist spawn you have three directions: site A, Mid, or site B.
- Choose your route from T spawn you can push toward A through Palace or Ramp, go to Mid by turning right down the alley, or head toward B through the TV room.
- Use Palace for A the balcony gives you an overview of site A and lets you distract defenders while teammates come through Ramp.
- Watch the Sniper's Nest a window at the top of Mid is a common AWP spot for defenders; line up your crosshair with the window before you commit to the peek.
- Hold Mid Boxes once you reach Top Mid, stay behind the barrels and boxes to cover the window, Catwalk, Underpass, and Connector simultaneously.
- Rotate via Connector from the Catwalk you can reach Connector, which lets you sneak behind defenders on site A or on stairs; turn around as you go up because an enemy on the Catwalk can headshot you from behind.
- Enter the Sniper's Nest step onto the small block in front of the window and bunnyhop in to take the nest.
Reaching site B
TipsFrom T spawn, the TV room, also called the house, leads into the back alley. From there you can go through the underpass or continue into the apartment kitchen, which connects to the apartment window and site B. The van at plant B is a useful piece of cover whether you are planting or defending.
- The TV room connects to the back alley, which splits toward the underpass and the apartment kitchen.
- The apartment window overlooking site B lets you spot defenders before committing to the plant.
- The van at site B hides a planting attacker from direct sightlines; defenders can also wait behind it for attackers coming out of the apartments.
- The market door on the CT side is a stronger entry to B than the market window; turning left after exiting puts you close to bench B.
- Short B, also called the Ladder Room, has a vent that leads directly into the Sniper's Nest — useful for surprising campers, but the vent is two-way, so they can see you too.
Cases and the skin system
CheckSkin cases are available in the store, which you reach by pressing N and navigating to the upper-right area of the menu. After buying a case you open it from your inventory, and that step costs additional credits. Opening the Alpha Case earns the First-of-Its-Kind badge, and opening the Seaside Case earns the Seaside Unboxed badge.
- Alpha Case the first case; contains weapon skins
- Seaside Case the second case; contains gloves only, no knives
- Community Case added alongside the Nuke map

Common questions
FAQHow does my team win a round?
As an attacker, detonate the bomb at a site or eliminate every defender. As a defender, prevent the plant, defuse a planted bomb, or eliminate every attacker before they finish their objective.
Is Mid worth fighting over on Mirage?
Winning Mid opens paths to both bomb sites. Controlling the Mid Boxes and eventually the Connector lets your team apply pressure on site A, while the Catwalk gives access toward B as well.
