Parkour or Die — The two roles and how a round works
About
OverviewParkour or Die! splits every match into two sides: Runners race through a course trying to hit the win button before time runs out, while the Killer controls traps and tries to stop them. The two roles and how a round works
TableEvery round puts players on one of two teams with opposite goals. Runners want to reach the win button at the end of the course. The Killer wants to prevent that by triggering traps at the right moment. Both sides equip abilities before the round starts, so preparation happens before the action does.
| Runner | dodge traps, use your equipped ability, and hit the win button before the clock runs out |
| Killer | watch the Runners move through the course, then time the traps to eliminate them before anyone finishes |
| Abilities | both roles can equip abilities such as Dash, Slide, Blink, Shield, Ghost, Double Jump, and Speed Boost |
| Cash | the currency you collect between rounds to unlock new abilities for either role |
Playing as a Runner
StepRunners are always moving against the clock, so every second of hesitation costs you. The Killer is watching, which means predictable movement gets you caught. Mix your ability use with route awareness to stay ahead of the traps.
- Read the course early take a quick look at the layout right after the round starts so you know what's ahead
- Anticipate trap spots think about where a smart Killer would trigger something and approach those areas carefully
- Match your ability to the space Dash and Speed Boost work well in open stretches, while Slide and Double Jump help in tighter sections

Playing as the Killer
TipsThe Killer's job is about control. You can see the Runners moving, so use that information to choose when and where to act. Triggering traps too early lets fast Runners dodge; too late and they're already past.
- Wait until a Runner is fully committed to a section before triggering a trap there
- Target locations where multiple Runners converge at the same time so one trap can affect more than one person
Unlocking and equipping abilities
CheckAbilities — including Dash, Slide, Blink, Shield, Ghost, Double Jump, and Speed Boost — are unlocked by spending cash. You collect cash through normal play, then equip whichever abilities you own before a round begins.
- Win rounds finishing a round on the winning side pays out cash for both roles
- Complete the lobby obby there is an obstacle course inside the lobby that rewards cash when you finish it
- Claim daily rewards logging in each day gives you a free cash bonus
Choosing abilities for your role
TableThe same ability can feel very different depending on which role you are playing. A Runner wants to cover ground quickly and survive mistakes.
| Dash / Speed Boost | best for Runners who want to clear open sections quickly |
| Slide / Double Jump | best for Runners who need to dodge traps in tight spots |
| Shield / Ghost | best for Runners who want a second chance after a mistake |
| Blink | strong for Runners who want to skip dangerous sections entirely |
Playing free-to-play
SummaryThe three cash sources — round wins, the lobby obby, and daily rewards — stack up steadily if you play regularly.

Common questions
FAQHow do I get better at surviving as a Runner?
Use your equipped ability at the moments that matter most. Varying your path also makes it harder for the Killer to predict you.
Can I unlock every ability without paying?
Winning rounds, finishing the lobby obby, and claiming daily rewards all add cash to your total over time. Every ability is reachable through normal play.
