In shortRuptures are the best source of experience items, rare Tanocans, and incenses.
Ruptures are special encounters where multiple players fight a powerful Tanorian together. You can summon one by using a Star item on an empty rupture spot. Higher-tier Stars produce higher-tier Ruptures, which drop better rewards.
Tips worth knowing
Use a Destroyed Star on an empty rupture to spawn one at a random star level.
Use a Cracked Star to guarantee a rupture above 2 stars, a Fragile Star for above 1 star, and a Shooting Star for above 3 stars.
Three-star Ruptures and higher drop M. and L. Exp Cubes, Stat Up, Stat Max, Unique Max, Anomalous Tanocans, and various Incenses.
Incenses from Ruptures boost wild Tanorian spawn rates in the overworld: Weak for 15 minutes, Neutral for 30, Strong for 45, and Underwater Incense for 45 minutes underwater.
If you need to leave mid-Rupture, you can flee and an AI ally takes your spot.
The Frozen Tear item found in Ruptures boosts Ice-type moves.
05

06
Tanorian traits and how they change battles
Summary
In shortChecking a Tanorian's trait before adding it to your team tells you immediately which stats are stronger and which are weaker.
Every Tanorian has a trait that nudges its stats up or down by 10 percent. A Tanorian can hold one positive and one negative trait at the same time, but if both land on the same stat the negative is ignored and the stat goes up. You can read the effect at a glance from the color of the stat numbers in the menu: green means raised, red means lowered, gray means unchanged.
Melee Attack raised by Aggressive, lowered by Naive.
Melee Defense raised by Defensive, lowered by Trusting.
Ranged Attack raised by Impulsive, lowered by Lonely.
Ranged Defense raised by Aware, lowered by Tender.
Speed raised by Speedy, lowered by Timid.
Passive the neutral trait with no stat change at all.
07
Keeping your team healthy on the road
Tips
In shortStocking potions and repels before long stretches lets you stay in the field without constant trips back to a Tanostation.
Tanostations are the main shops throughout Tanorio. The items they sell expand as you clear stadiums and reach higher Tamer Levels, so revisit them after every major milestone.
Tips worth knowing
S., M., and L. Potions are available at any Tanostation and restore one-eighth, one-fifth, and one-third of a Tanorian's max HP respectively.
Master Potions restore full HP and cure status conditions.
Weak Repels block wild encounters for 100 steps and are available from the start; Medium Repels unlock at Tamer Level 10 and last 200 steps; Strong Repels unlock at Tamer Level 15 and last 300 steps.
Advanced Tanocans become available at Tanostations after you beat Nikido Stadium, and Professional Tanocans unlock after Everlush Stadium.
Avoid using a saddle mount immediately after stepping out of a building; the game has a known bug that can drop you through the floor.
08
Evolving your Tanorians
Tips
In shortSeveral evolutions depend on the time of day or current weather, so check conditions before you grind to a level threshold.
Most Tanorians evolve when they reach a certain level, but a handful need specific conditions on top of that. Missing the condition means the evolution does not trigger even if the Tanorian is high enough level.
Tips worth knowing
Calypillar evolves at Level 7 — into Calytomb Day Form during the day or Calytomb Night Form at night, then each branch evolves again at Level 12.
Climitten evolves at Level 15 into Blimpurr during Wind weather, or Thuneko during Rain weather.
Dolfib evolves at Level 25 into Carpentoy at night or Dolphantasy during the day.
Cierica evolves at Level 32 into Copernica normally, or into Exspirica during a Blood Moon.
Soulemn has two final forms — Nihilitch from the Yellow form at Level 36, and Magistraith from the Blue form at Level 36.
Your starter's first evolution happens at Level 16 for all three lines, with a second evolution at Level 36.

Redeem codes
Tips
In shortCodes are free and expire, so redeem any new one the moment you see it.
Codes are words released by the developers that give free items when entered in the game's code screen. Each code works once per account and becomes unusable after it expires.
Tips worth knowing
Each code can only be redeemed once per player.
Past codes have rewarded items like Premium Tanocans, Chaining Tanocans, Incenses, Destroyed Stars, and Tanopounds.

Common questions
FAQ
Which starter should I pick?
All three starters — Rabush (Grass), Charcile (Fire), and Chewaqua (Water) — are available at the start of the game.
How do I get better Tanocans?
Premium Tanocans drop after you beat Rya at Nikido Stadium. Advanced Tanocans go on sale at Tanostations after that same win, and Professional Tanocans become available after clearing Everlush Stadium. Anomalous Tanocans and Dive Tanocans drop from Ruptures.
Why did my evolution not trigger even though my Tanorian hit the right level?
Some evolutions require a specific time of day or weather condition in addition to the level. Climitten needs Wind or Rain weather at Level 15, Dolfib needs day or night at Level 25, and Cierica needs a Blood Moon for one of its branches at Level 32.
What items raise Tanorian stats?
Stat Up items raise an Effort Stat by 10 points each, while Stat Max items raise it to its maximum in one use. Both drop from three-star Ruptures and higher. Unique Max items work the same way for Unique Stats and also come from Ruptures at that tier.
Can I get stuck in the story?
There is a known bug where leaving Everlush Stadium before finishing Dylan's challenge can lock you out of completing the quest. If that happens, try rejoining the game several times and entering Dylan's room through the large doors at the back of the stadium.
