Your first goal: one animal placed at base
StepA lot of new players crack an egg and feel like they have accomplished something, but the cash only starts when the animal is actually placed at your base. Before you swing the pickaxe at anything, glance around and lock in the direction of your base so you are not guessing later. Pick an egg that is close enough that you still know your way home, crack it, and go straight back without detours.
- Check your base note which direction it is the moment you spawn.
- Crack it hit the egg with your pickaxe until the animal hatches.
- Head straight back do not stop for a second egg on this first run.
- Place the animal complete the placement action at base before leaving again.
Escaping the guards
TipsGuards chase you as soon as you are holding an animal, so every extra stop you make gives them more chances to catch up. If you keep getting caught at the same spot, that is a sign to either learn a cleaner path or consider a speed upgrade — but change one thing at a time so you can tell what actually helped.
- Learn your escape route before you crack the egg, not after.
- Skip any extra eggs you spot while carrying — detours are where most losses happen.
- If the same spot keeps costing you, adjust your route first before spending on upgrades.
- Only look at speed upgrades once you are confident the route itself is not the problem.
Choosing the right upgrade
TableThere are three upgrades: pickaxe, speed, and bag.
| Pickaxe | buy this when cracking eggs feels slow. |
| Speed | buy this when your route is solid but guards still catch you before you reach base. |
| Bag | buy this when returns are already reliable and you want to carry more animals per trip. |
Building cash and filling the index
CheckIf your cash total is not climbing, the most common reason is that an animal never got placed — carrying it home is not enough. Once you get comfortable with the placement step, open the index to see which animals you are still missing and use that list to choose your next egg target.
- Confirm each animal is placed at base, not just carried there.
- Open the index once returns feel routine and pick one missing animal as your next goal.
Rewards and account safety
WarnLiking the game and joining the ILGames x Eggs developer group unlocks free rewards — check the in-game prompt for where to collect them, and if they do not appear right away, try rejoining the game. Ask a parent or guardian before confirming any purchase that costs real money.

Common questions
FAQHow do I actually earn cash — carrying an animal home is not working?
Cash only increases once you place the animal at your base, not when you arrive there. Complete the placement action after you return, then check whether your cash total went up.
How many players can be in one room?
Each room holds a maximum of seven players.
Which upgrade should I buy first?
There is no single answer that fits everyone. Think about where your last run fell apart — slow egg cracking points to the pickaxe, getting caught on the way home points to speed, and reliable returns with room to grow points to the bag.
Is this the same game as Steal an Egg?
No — Break and Steal an Egg is a separate game that adds a pickaxe mechanic for cracking eggs. Always check that the full game name matches before following outside advice.
