How the game works
SummaryAt the start of every match, the game assigns you a role — rat or cat — without you choosing. Rats win by stealing the cheese and getting out; cats win by keeping the rats away from it. Matches are short, so you will cycle through roles quickly across multiple rounds.
- Role assigned automatically each match, no manual pick
- Rat goal steal the cheese and escape
- Cat goal defend the house and stop every rat
- Match length short, with a fast resolution

Winning as a rat
TipsRats move faster than cats, which makes staying unpredictable your biggest weapon. Charging straight at the cheese rarely works — look for side paths and gaps in the stage layout instead. When multiple rats act at the same time, cats cannot cover every angle at once.
- Move with your teammates so cats have to split their attention.
- Look for high routes and gaps in the stage rather than running in a straight line.
- Wait for a cat to look away, then rush the cheese.
- Once you have the cheese, stop thinking about the cats and focus entirely on escaping.
Winning as a cat
TipsCats can overpower any rat that gets close, but a lone cat cannot watch the whole stage. When cats split duties and cover different lanes, rats have almost nowhere to go.
- Stay close to the cheese rather than chasing rats across the whole map.
- React quickly the moment you spot an intruder — cats are strong enough to deal with rats fast.
- Divide responsibilities with your cat teammates so no path goes unguarded.
Playing without spending
CheckRat Attack does not sell anything that changes who wins or loses. Everyone plays under the same conditions regardless of whether they spend anything.
- No paid items exist that give one team a match advantage.
- Every player starts each round with the same capabilities as everyone else.
- Liking the game and joining the group is suggested for update news, but neither affects gameplay.

Common questions
FAQCan I choose whether I play as a rat or a cat?
No — the game assigns your role automatically at the start of each match.
Can I always be on the same team as my friends?
Because roles are assigned automatically at the start of every match, you and your friends will not always land on the same side.
How long does a match last?
Matches are designed to end quickly, so you will not be stuck in a single round for long.
