About

Overview

Voxel Destruction Physics (VDP) is a sandbox game where nearly everything — buildings, walls, and even the ground — can be smashed apart, with every broken piece falling under gravity. This guide covers how to get started, how to push your voxel count up, how to earn badges, and how to keep the game running smoothly.

Getting started with destruction

Step
In short Picking a large weapon first and swinging at whatever is in front of you is the fastest way to get a feel for how the physics work.

When you join a server you are shown a weapon selection screen before you do anything else.

  1. Pick a weapon choose something large from the selection screen so the destruction is immediately visible.
  2. Watch the physics notice how broken pieces tumble, roll, and slide.
  3. Swap weapons try a smaller weapon on the same spot to see how differently it removes material and at what pace.

How voxel count and badges work

Table
In short Badge milestones run from 10,000 broken voxels all the way to 10 million.

Every voxel you destroy is counted toward these thresholds.

Voxels to breakBadge name
10,000Bread cat
25,000Domestic Dog
50,000Grumpy Cat
100,000Chi wa wa
150,000Super Cat

500,000Wenamechainasama

2,000,000Gold Dog

Badges that need a specific action

Check
In short Several badges require you to do something deliberate rather than just keep breaking things, so knowing the trigger in advance saves a lot of guesswork.

These are not earned by grinding voxel counts — each one has its own condition.

  • Dig all the way down to bedrock to earn the Undertale badge.
  • Avoid breaking anything for a full 30 minutes in one session to earn Pacifist.
  • Set off a chain reaction using explosive barrels to earn NOW THATS ALOT OF DAMAGE.
  • Get hit by a lightning strike to earn Zues!
  • Destroy the spawn area completely to earn SpawnKiller.
  • Earn the Freedom badge by escaping Mexico and the Escaped badge by escaping the Backrooms these are distinct locations with separate badges.
  • Make Maxwell angry to earn Angry Maxwell.
04

Keeping the game smooth

Tips
In short Lowering the built-in graphic preset is the single most effective thing you can do when the game starts to lag.

A few habits help you stay comfortable for longer sessions.

Tips worth knowing
  • Open the in-game settings menu and find the graphic preset option.
  • VR players can use the same graphic preset setting to reduce lag in headset mode.
05

Playing with friends

Summary
In short A free private server gives everyone in your group temporary admin rights and a map all to yourselves.

Private servers cost nothing to create.

  • Cost private servers are completely free to create.
  • Admin rights every player who joins your private server receives temporary admin access.
06

Weapons: large versus small

Table
In short Large weapons suit players who want fast, wide-scale destruction, while small weapons suit players who want precise, methodical demolition.

The game has tons of weapons to choose from. Carrying both and switching between them on the same map is a practical approach.

Large weaponsclear a wide area, good for collapsing whole buildings.
Small weaponsremove material precisely, better when you want to watch individual pieces fall.
Explosive barrelstriggering a chain reaction counts toward the NOW THATS ALOT OF DAMAGE badge.

Glossary

A separate server instance only your invited friends can join, free to create in VDP.
Admin (temporary)
Elevated in-game permissions granted automatically to everyone who joins a private server.
