How a match works
Step
When you load in, you get a preparation window before any enemies show up. Use that time to place blocks and get your base into shape. Once the defense round starts, enemies rush your base, and you need to hold them off. Survive the round and you move on to the next one. Clear all the rounds and you win.

- Move to the next round repeat the defend-and-survive cycle until all rounds are cleared.
Base design that lasts longer
TipsThe shape of your base matters. A winding layout slows enemies down. Pairing that with a tough outer shell and a protected inner core makes it much harder for anything to reach the center.
- Route enemies through zigzag corridors instead of letting them walk in a straight line.
- Put your hardest blocks on the outside and keep your core behind them.
- Spread openings across multiple sides so enemies do not all pile through one spot.
Using the prep phase well

Get the minimum defenses up before the round begins, and then add to them in later prep windows.
Playing without spending
TipsThe core of the game — building, defending, and cooperating — does not require any purchases. Basic blocks, enemies, and crafting are all available from the start. A Starter Pack is sold separately, but players who skip it can still experience everything the game is built around.
