OverviewMafia is a Roblox murder mystery game where players are secretly assigned roles and must either hide their identity or figure out who the killer is. Each round alternates between a night phase, where roles act, and a morning phase, where everyone votes to eliminate a suspect.

The day-night loop
Step
The game runs in a repeating loop. At night, each player acts according to their role. Come morning, the whole group talks it over and votes one person out. The side that survives to the end wins.
- Night phase take the action your role allows before the phase ends.
- Morning phase share what you noticed, listen to others, and cast your vote.
- Vote the player who collects the most votes is eliminated from the round.

What each role does
TableThere are four roles in Mafia. Two work against each other in secret, one protects, and one relies almost entirely on conversation.

Playing as Mafia
Tips
The Mafia win by eliminating everyone else, so you need to act effectively at night while keeping a convincing civilian front during the day.
- Switch up which player you target each night so your actions do not fall into an obvious pattern.
- During the vote, avoid pushing too hard on any single person.
- If other Mafia members are in the round, coordinate without making it obvious you already know each other.
Playing as Doctor
TipsThe Doctor's value depends entirely on guessing correctly who the Mafia will target. Listening closely during the morning vote gives you clues to make a smarter pick each night.
- Prioritize protecting players who speak up actively and seem genuinely helpful to the town.
- If someone appeared to be targeted in a previous night and survived, consider protecting them again.
Winning the morning vote
CheckEvery player takes part in the morning vote regardless of role. The person with the most votes is eliminated.
- Did anyone offer a reason that sounded like it was invented after the fact?
- Is anyone simply echoing whoever spoke loudest rather than adding their own read?
- Have multiple players independently landed on the same suspect?
- Did anyone stay unusually quiet when the group was pressing for answers?
- Are there contradictions between what a player claims happened and what others observed?
