How staff and automation work

Tips
In short Hiring staff to handle the repetitive tasks lets your store keep running even when you are focused elsewhere.

Four types of staff are available: cashiers, stockers, farmers, and cooks. Each one takes over a different part of the store's workload, so hiring them in combination means the operation largely runs itself.

Tips worth knowing
  • Cashiers handle the register so you do not have to stand at it constantly.
  • Stockers keep shelves filled without you doing it by hand.
  • Farmers grow fresh ingredients, which feeds into your product lineup.
  • Cooks process ingredients into finished goods, including the more advanced items you unlock later.
  • You can also upgrade your character, your workers, and your production lines separately.
03

Delivery orders, quests, and daily rewards

Check
In short Timed deliveries and daily quests are extra ways to earn in the game.

Outside of regular sales, the game gives you extra ways to earn. Timed delivery orders pay out big rewards. Quests add another layer, with daily rewards and a spin mechanic as prizes.

  • Complete timed delivery orders for big rewards.
  • Complete quests to claim daily rewards and unlock spins for prizes.
04

Common questions

FAQ

What is the final goal in Own A Grocery Store?

The Supermarket Complete badge is the game's endpoint. You earn it by operating the BLT maker and the final checkout.

How do I unlock new products?

New products come from unlocking farms, animals, and machines as your store grows. Each product you make available to shoppers earns you a badge.

What should I do when the store feels overwhelming to manage alone?

Hire staff — cashiers, stockers, farmers, and cooks each handle a different piece of the workload. You can also upgrade your workers.

Do my earnings carry over between sessions?

Yes. The game tracks your total career earnings across every session you play. The Cash Register, Millionaire, and Billionaire badges are all based on that running total.
