Dummy Defense is a Roblox tower defense game where you place dummy towers to hold off waves of invading Noobs and Guests across multiple game modes. This guide covers the basics of placing and upgrading towers, which mode to start with, how to earn the in-game currency, and what the game's badges unlock for you.
In shortEvery match is a loop of placing towers, surviving waves, and collecting Bricks to strengthen your defenses.
Each game mode throws enemies at your dummy bases in a series of waves. Your job is to place towers before and between waves so that enemies are destroyed before they reach the base. Bricks drop when you complete a mode, and you spend them in the shop on new towers and emotes.
Place a towerpress R2 (console) to set a tower down at your chosen spot on the map.
Upgradepress R1 to strengthen the tower you have selected.
Sell or removepress L2 to pull a tower off the map and recover some Bricks.
Switch target prioritypress L1 to change which enemy type that tower focuses on.
In shortTeam Noob is the easiest of the three main modes and the right place to learn the game.
Team Noob runs for 25 waves and ends with G Noob as the final boss. Because the enemies are the weakest of the main modes, it is the safest place to get comfortable with tower placement and upgrades. Clearing it also rewards you with the Defeat G Noob badge.
Tips worth knowing
Block Dummy paired with Scale Dummy is the strongest combination for this mode.
Sniper Dummy has long range and high damage, so place several of them early.
When the Rocketeer Noob wave arrives, stack as many long-range towers as you can to cover the full approach.
Beating G Noob earns the Defeat G Noob badge, confirming you have cleared the mode.

In shortMany badges do more than mark an achievement — they directly unlock new towers, systems, and lore content.
Dummy Defense ties a lot of its content to badge completion rather than shop purchases. Beating a mode's final boss, finding hidden items, or completing a quest chain each reward you with something usable.

Hidden content and secret badges
Tips
In shortSome of the game's rarest unlocks are tied to secrets scattered across the lobby and matchmaking, not just mode clears.
Beyond the standard mode-clear badges, Dummy Defense hides content in the lobby and in matchmaking itself. The Elyndra badge requires completing a four-step tape quest in exact order, while another secret has a random chance of triggering during matchmaking.
Tips worth knowing
Complete every step of the Elyndra Tape Quest in order from step one to four to unlock the Void MKI Titan Dummy skin, a new tag, and a lore tape.
A secret badge called Sphere Faction News Tape can appear through a random chance during matchmaking.
A character named Angelo is hidden somewhere in the lobby — finding him earns his own badge.
Beating Necro Disguise 2.0 in Experiment Mode earns the Defeat Necro Disguise badge.

The game supports gift codes that give in-game rewards when redeemed. New codes are released through the official Discord server, and the game page notes that a code is also planned as a reward at 30,000 likes.
Worth watching out for
Codes only work when you are in a new server or a private serverthey will not redeem in an existing public session.
Check the official Discord server first whenever you are looking for the latest active codes.

Common questions
FAQ
Which mode should I play first?
Start with Team Noob — it is the easiest of the three main modes and runs for 25 waves.
Can I play on a console controller?
Yes. R2 places a tower, R1 upgrades it, L2 sells or removes it, and L1 cycles through target priorities.
Why isn't my redeem code working?
Codes only activate in a new server or a private server, not in an existing public session.
Do badges actually give me anything useful?
Many of them do. Clearing specific modes or completing hidden quests unlocks towers in the shop, new game systems like the Auto Skip System and Player Abilities System, lore tapes, and cosmetic tags.
