Alternate routes and special events
TipsIf you want a break from the population grind, the game actively encourages some chaotic experiments. Each of the following actions unlocks a dedicated badge.
- Fly into the sun to earn the Touch The Sun badge.
- Find and touch the black hole for the Touch The Blackhole badge.
- Escape the solar system entirely for another badge.
- Survive or trigger a supernova to earn the Experience A Supernova badge.
- Play for a full hour without doing anything dramatic and you'll pick up the 'successfully waste your time' badge.
- Reaching maximum level — with satellites and lifeforms fully developed — is the top achievement the game recognises.
Reaching max level
CheckThe max level badge description specifically mentions having satellites and lifeforms.
- Sustain your population through all five milestones, up to one quadrillion lifeforms.
- Evolve your planet form options include gas giant, ice giant, and black hole.
- Acquire satellites, which the max level badge lists alongside lifeforms as a requirement.

Common questions
FAQWhat should I do first when I join?
Head to the habitable zone so lifeforms can start appearing on your planet. Your first-time badge is awarded automatically just for joining.
Is there a reward just for playing a long time?
Yes. Spending one hour in the game unlocks the 'successfully waste your time' badge. You do not need to hit any population milestone — just stay in the game for the full hour.
Can I play with friends?
The game's own description mentions hanging out with friends, so playing in the same server together is a supported part of the experience.
