KPop Demon Hunters is an action RPG from Netflix and Twin Atlas where you build a KPop idol, fight demons, and protect the Honmoon. You customize your character, collect gear and pets, and battle through stages solo or with friends.
Getting started — character creation and the tutorial
Step
In shortFinishing the tutorial with a clear sense of your controls puts you in a strong position for the stages ahead.
The first thing the game asks you to do is customize your KPop idol — pick the look and outfit you want before anything else. Once that is done, the tutorial stage walks you through basic attacks and how to use your skills. Clearing that first battle opens up the full game.
Customize your idolspend time here before moving on, because this is your character for the whole game.
Learn basic attacksthe tutorial exists specifically to show you this.
Practice your skillsget the timing down on skill use before the enemies start hitting harder.
Check your starting gearyou receive weapons and armor at the start, so look at what you have before your first real fight.
Clear the tutorial battlethe main game does not fully open until this is done.
In shortLearning when to attack, when to use skills, and when to dodge is the core skill that carries you through every stage.
Combat in KPop Demon Hunters is action-based. You have normal attacks and skills to work with. Your fan count is also tied to combat — the more fans you have, the stronger your damage output and special effects can become.
Tips worth knowing
Hit skills right after an enemy finishes an attack — that small gap is when they are open and your damage lands best.
Your pet fights alongside you and provides support during battle.
Dodging and blocking keep you alive longer.
Each demon type has its own attack pattern — fighting the same enemy a few times teaches you where the weaknesses are.
A higher fan count can trigger bonus damage and special effects.

Gear upgrades and leveling up
Table
In shortWhen a stage is blocking you, the fix is almost always gear, level, or pet progress — check all three before giving up.
The game has two main ways to get stronger: raising your character level and upgrading your equipment. Materials for upgrading gear drop from battles. If your pet has not evolved yet, that is another area worth addressing.
Gear strength
improves when you collect battle materials and upgrade at the apartment.
Character level
rises by clearing battles, including replays of earlier stages.
Pet power
grows through training and then jumps sharply when the pet evolves.
Shop spending
lets you buy gear or materials directly.
06
Your apartment — base, workshop, and daily stop
Summary
In shortThe apartment is more than decoration — it is where pet training and gear upgrades actually happen.
Your apartment is your personal hub inside the game. You can decorate it with furniture bought using money and materials earned from battles. It is where you handle pet cultivation and equipment crafting and strengthening. You can also show your apartment to friends.

07
Playing with friends
Tips
In shortCo-op opens up harder content and better rewards, but the game is completely playable solo if you prefer that.
The game supports multiplayer, letting you team up with friends to take on stages. Solo story stages are plentiful, so you never need a group to enjoy the game.
Tips worth knowing
Join a multiplayer lobby with friends and look for stages designed for co-op.
Solo play is fully supported — there is plenty of story content to clear on your own.
08
