Overview

Purrfect is a platformer where a crowd of cats races to grab a fish and carry it back to the door before the round ends. Made by Dynamite Sauce as a tribute to the flash game Transformice, it spreads 161 maps across two round types and packs a shop full of emotes and hats to spend your Cans on. This guide covers the core rules, how to handle the maps, how to unlock every badge, and how the shop works.

Core rules of every round

Summary

In short Your job as a cat never changes — grab the fish and get through the door — but whether you have a witch helping you depends on the map.

Every map belongs to one of two types, and the prefix on its name tells you which. Witch maps (witch_) include a witch player whose job is to help the cats reach the goal. Cats Only maps (co_) have no witch at all, so every cat is on their own.

Cat role　grab the fish and return through the door to win the round.
Witch role　help the cats reach the fish and get to the door.
witch_ prefix　signals a round where a witch is present, such as witch_bridge.
co_ prefix　signals a cats-only round with no witch, such as co_thepath.

In short Every map has different hazards, so pausing to watch what moves can save the whole run.

The 161 maps in the game each carry their own set of obstacles. Some are shared across many maps, while others appear on only one.

Worth watching out for

Fake platforms look solid but will drop you.

Falling platforms on co_spleef disappear underfoot.

Ice platforms on co_ice are present as an obstacle.

Conveyors on co_conveyor push you in a fixed direction.

Green bouncy blocks are present across maps.

Map-specific traps a hydraulic press on co_press, crushing walls on co_crushing_wall, cars and trucks on co_road_mayhem, and fake doors on co_trickery.

Two of these require at least four players in the round and zero deaths. The shop badge is the hardest in the game right now.

Glossary

Cans: The in-game currency used to buy emotes and hats from the shop.
witch_ map: A map type where one player takes the witch role and is supposed to help the cats reach the fish and the door.
co_ map: A Cats Only map with no witch, where every player is a cat working through obstacles without outside help.
Transformice: The flash platformer that inspired Purrfect, referenced in-game by the MICE badge.
Dynamite Sauce: The development team that built Purrfect.

FAQ

Can I earn the Purrfect badge by playing alone?

No. The badge requires a round with four or more players where nobody dies before the round is won.

How do I know whether my map has a witch?

Look at the map name at the start of the round. Names beginning with witch_ include a witch player. Names beginning with co_ are cats-only with no witch.

Is Clover's Favourite actually earnable right now?

The game itself describes it as difficult to obtain as of now and says this will get changed. You need to buy every item in the shop.
