Core rules of each round
Summary
At the start of a round the game automatically assigns you to either the vampire team or the human team at random. Vampires chase humans down and try to eliminate them, while humans try to stay out of reach and survive. You have no say in which side you get, so it pays to be comfortable playing both.

Surviving as a human
TipsHumans need to know the map well. Scout hiding spots and escape routes before a vampire gets close, because once you are being chased it is too late to plan. Items like the Torch and Pomegranates can help.
- Learn hiding spots before you need them.
- Grab items such as the Torch and Pomegranates from the map.
- Share information with other humans so you all know where vampires were last seen.
- Listen for vampires moving nearby so you can reposition before they reach you.
Hunting as a vampire
TipsVampires are the stronger side, but humans can stay hidden for a long time. Use your speed to cover the map and use the new abilities to pursue humans.
- Use your speed to cover large areas quickly.
- Ground Slam is a new attack ability available to vampires.
- Mist Escape is a new ability that strengthens vampire movement and escape.
What the June 13, 2025 update added
CheckFour new maps mean rounds play out in more varied environments, and the two new vampire abilities open up tactics that did not exist before.
