Crash or land — First steps before you fly
About
OverviewCrash or Land puts you in the cockpit of a plane and lets you choose: stick a clean landing or send the thing straight into the ground. This guide covers the controls, landing technique, missile launcher, and how to get the most out of crash runs and badge milestones.

First steps before you fly
StepPublic servers carry a lot of lag, which makes precise flying much harder than it needs to be. Private servers are free, so there is no reason to skip this step. Once you are in a quieter session, you start every run directly in the cockpit with a plane ready to go.
- Open a private server select one from the in-game menu before your first flight.
- Share the server code paste it in chat so friends can join the same session.
Basic flight controls
SummaryAll steering runs through the keyboard.
- W climb
- S descend
- A rotate left
- D rotate right
Landing technique
TipsA good landing is mostly about patience.
- Choose your landing spot while you are still far away so you have room to adjust.
- Lower altitude in gradual stages rather than dropping all at once.
- Level the wings as you approach — a tilted plane hits harder on one side.
- Slow your descent to almost nothing in the last few seconds before touchdown.
- Sliding in at a shallow angle reduces damage compared to a steep drop.
Missile launcher controls
StepThe plane comes fitted with a missile launcher. Getting a hit depends on how well you line up the aircraft itself — sloppy flying means sloppy aim.
- Steer the launcher left or right press A or D to swing the aim horizontally.
- Steer the launcher up or down press W or S to raise or lower the aim.
- Read the target indicator when the circle turns red, the missile has found its target.
- Fire on PC press F the moment the circle goes red.
- Fire on mobile the lock-on and launch happen automatically once the target is acquired.
Getting the most out of crash runs
TipsCrashing on purpose is a completely valid way to play, and the badge milestones give you a long-term goal to chase. The game tracks every crash, so every run counts even when you are just messing around.
- Put out fires when they appear — doing it for the first time earns its own badge.
- Keep flying even after big milestone badges like 1,000 crashes; the ladder continues to 15,000.

When the server feels sluggish
CheckLag makes both precise landings and aimed missile shots noticeably harder.
- Controls feel delayed leave the public session and open a private server from the menu.
- Friends are on a different server share your private server code so everyone lands in the same session.
Glossary
Glossary- Private server
- A free personal session you create from the in-game menu that lets you fly with far less lag than a public server.
- Cockpit
- The pilot's seat where every run begins; you take control from here the moment you load in.
- Red circle
- The targeting indicator on the missile launcher that turns red when the missile has locked onto its target.
- Altitude
- How high the plane is above the ground, controlled by W to climb and S to descend.
- Crash count
- The running total of crashes the game tracks for you, used to award every milestone badge.
Common questions
FAQDo I need to spend Robux to enjoy the game?
No. Flying, landing, crashing, and using the missile launcher are all available without spending anything.
Can I play on mobile?
Yes, mobile is supported. The missile launcher even has an automatic lock-on and fire system on mobile, so you do not need to press a separate fire button.
How do I land without wrecking the plane?
Pick your landing spot early, descend in small steps rather than one steep dive, and keep the wings level as you close in. The last few seconds before touchdown should be the slowest part of the whole approach.
How do I get friends into my private server?
Copy your server code from the in-game menu and send it to them. They paste it in to join the same session directly.
