How the game works

Summary
In short Your only goal is to find all 193 capybaras, and every one you collect is saved automatically.

When you find a capybara, the game records it for you — you never have to collect the same one twice. Your progress is stored, so you can log off and come back without losing your count. The gap between your current total and 193 tells you exactly how many are left.

  • Goal find all 193 capybaras hidden around the map
  • Progress saved automatically each time you find one
  • Cost every capybara can be found without spending anything
  • Server size up to 24 players share a map at once
  • Variety capybaras are reached by exploring, finishing obbies, and triggering secrets

Where capybaras hide

Tips
In short Capybaras turn up in every corner of the map, from the very start of the game to the hardest spots you can reach.

The hiding spots range from completely obvious to genuinely tricky. One capybara greets you right at the spawn point, so check there first before you go anywhere. Others are buried in locations you would never look without a reason — inside a dumpster, frozen in ice, trapped in the backrooms, or submerged in the ocean. Some sit at the top of tall towers or at the end of a tough climb, and at least one is only reachable after you find a remote and step through a TV.

Tips worth knowing
  • Check the spawn point the moment you load in — a capybara is waiting there.
  • Look inside objects, not just around them: dumpsters, chimneys, and a TV can all be entered.
  • Search underwater and inside caves, where capybaras are described as deeply hidden.
  • Climb every tower and every climbable rock face — some capybaras sit only at the very top.
  • The pyramid has a hole worth dropping into, and the pyramid's desert area hides another near some watermelon.
  • The backrooms area contains a capybara, so do not skip it even if it looks like a dead end.

Getting past obbies and secrets

Step
In short Obbies and hidden triggers unlock new areas, so treating them as optional means leaving capybaras permanently out of reach.

A number of capybaras sit behind obstacles you have to actively clear. Secrets work differently — they ask you to interact with a specific object or find an item first.

  1. Attempt every obby finishing one can open a new section of the map where more capybaras wait.
  2. Find the remote the Horror Capybara badge confirms you need it before the TV entrance works.
  3. Drop into holes and tunnels the pyramid hole leads to a capybara, so deliberate drops are worth trying.
  4. Enter chimneys at least one capybara is only reachable that way.
04

What to check when you are stuck

Check
In short Three overlooked areas account for most missing capybaras: unfinished obbies, low and hidden spots, and untriggered secrets.

When your count stops climbing, work through this list before assuming a capybara is impossible to find. Most blocks trace to one of the three causes below.

  • Confirm every obby is actually finished, not just started an incomplete course can lock you out of a whole area.
  • Re-scan the lowest points of the map ground level, underwater, and inside dumpsters are easy to skip.
  • Check that you have triggered object-based secrets the remote for the TV is the clearest example of an item you must find first.
  • Revisit all tall structures from the top down, including tower rooftops and cliff summits.
  • Compare your current count to 193 so you know the exact number still missing.

The group badge

Tips
In short One badge requires nothing but joining the 002 Studios group on Roblox.

The Group Member Capy badge has nothing to do with searching the map. You earn it purely by joining the 002 Studios community group, which is the studio behind the game.

Tips worth knowing
  • Join the 002 Studios group on Roblox to unlock the Group Member Capy badge instantly.
  • The group link is listed on the game's official Roblox page.

Updates and new capybaras

Tips
In short The game has grown steadily since launch, so returning players should check new areas first.

The total of 193 was reached through several updates that each added a batch of capybaras to new or expanded areas.

Tips worth knowing
  • A Brainrot Island update on November 14, 2025 introduced a new area.
  • Nineteen more capybaras were added on November 25, 2025.
  • Thirty-one capybaras were added on December 1, 2025, the largest single batch.
