Core loop of working the cafe

Step
In short Every shift follows the same rhythm: take orders, prepare food, serve customers, and deal with whatever anomaly shows up.

Anomaly Cafe is a cooperative cafe simulation where you and your friends keep Emma's Cafe running for hungry customers. The main flow is straightforward — customers arrive, you take their orders, you prepare the food, and you deliver it. What makes each session unpredictable is that anomalies can appear at any point and disrupt the whole operation. Starting on Day 3, you will also need to prevent anomalies from entering the cafe on top of everything else.

  1. Take the order wait for a customer to arrive at the counter and find out what they want.
  2. Prepare the food head to the kitchen and make the order using the correct station and ingredients.
  3. Deliver it bring the finished order to the customer.
  4. Keep the cafe running maintain service through whatever anomaly shows up.

Recipes and how to make them

Tips
In short Each recipe type has its own station and minigame, and learning when to flip, fill, or tap makes a real difference to quality.

Every recipe starts with getting the right ingredients to the right station. Waffles and pancakes both use batter made from eggs, sugar, flour, and milk — but pancakes take twice as long because you have to flip them halfway through. Coffee, milkshakes, and juice each have a minigame that affects quality. Scoring Superb adds the most, while Bad costs you points and, for coffee specifically, spawns the Buno anomaly.

Tips worth knowing
  • Waffles: place batter on the Waffle Grill and wait for the timer — unlocked on Day 1.
  • Pancakes: same batter as waffles, but you must flip them once mid-cook — unlocked on Day 4.
  • Coffee: complete the QTE minigame three times; Superb adds +0.5x, Good adds +0.2x, Bad subtracts 0.3x and spawns Buno — unlocked on Day 10.
  • Milkshakes: hold the glass until the fill line in the minigame; unlike other drinks, milkshakes can overcook and cause fires — unlocked on Day 14.
  • Juice: uses the same QTE style as fixing a Pipe Burst; juice cannot burn, so it is safe to leave in the blender.
  • Urgent Orders skip the counter — a customer sits down and needs a specific item within a time limit; missing it costs your cafe -20 reputation.

Types of anomalies and how to spot them

Warn
In short Different anomaly types need different responses — some need the cameras, some need specific tools, and one can be accidentally summoned by playing badly.

Anomalies range from minor annoyances to immediate threats that can end your run. Customer Anomalies are the most common and split into two overlapping types: Camera Anomalies, which you can only see through the in-game cameras, and Visual Anomalies, which are visible in person as well. Other anomalies — Buno, Flamme, Glorp, Mishy, Pipe Burst, and the Spore Fly — spawn separately and affect the cafe environment rather than arriving as customers.

Worth watching out for
Camera Anomalies like Ghost Cat, Long Neck, and Head Slammer are only visible on the cameras.
Visual Anomalies such as Creepy Smile, Hollow Eyes, and Mimic can be spotted in person, but some are easy to miss at first glance.
Wrong Order anomalies say they want one food but actually want another pay close attention to what is on the order pad.
Flamme sets fire to parts of the cafe; use the Fire Extinguisher to put out the trail, and store it in its case to recharge it.
Glorp steals Sugar use a Pan or Talisman to remove it instantly and the sugar returns to its spot.
Mishy blocks important areas and will not leave when hit with a Pan or Talisman.
Scoring Bad on the coffee QTE spawns Buno, who drains the afflicted player's sanity until a teammate removes them.

Items that help you survive

Table
In short The Talisman works on multiple anomaly types and can be bought with either in-game dollars or Robux.

Sanity items restore your sanity on use, while kitchen and shop items help you deal with anomalies or boost cafe performance. Bonny's Shop opens on Day 7 and stocks a rotating selection each run. The Talisman is a flexible anomaly-removal tool since it works on multiple anomaly types and can be bought with either in-game dollars or Robux.

The Afterlife and what happens when you go down

Step
In short Getting knocked out is not the end, but the revival challenge gets much harder the deeper into the run you are.

If you lose all your reputation or sanity during a shift, you are sent to the Afterlife, where Bingo gives you a chance to revive. How hard that chance is depends on how far into the run you are.

  1. Stage 1 (Days 1–9) you are carried through a lantern-lit passage and revived automatically with no challenge.
  2. Stage 2 (Days 10–19) you are taken to a disconnected cafe and must serve Bingo's subjects to fill a Restoration Progress bar; fill it completely to revive.
  3. Stage 3 (Day 20 and beyond) the same as Stage 2, but much more of the cafe is moving, making it significantly harder.
08

Free rewards and the official group

Check
In short Joining the group is free, and the Afterlife Crate can be earned through daily quests without spending anything.

The full cafe experience — serving customers, surviving anomalies, playing cooperatively with friends — requires no purchases. Joining the official Roblox group is free and unlocks exclusive in-game rewards. Bells, the currency used to buy characters and skins, are earned by finishing days, filling out Journal entries, and completing event tasks. • Like and follow the game on Roblox to support continued development.
09

Alpha stage and what to expect

Tips
In short Because the game is in alpha, bugs are expected and the developers want players to report them.

Anomaly Cafe is openly in alpha, which means the developers have not declared it finished. Bugs can appear during any session and the team wants to hear about them.

Tips worth knowing
  • Bugs are expected at this stage — do not be surprised if something behaves oddly.
  • Report any issues you find in the official community server so the developers can act on them.

Common questions

FAQ

How scary is Anomaly Cafe?

The game has genuine horror elements — anomalies are described as terrifying and are designed to catch you off guard. The atmosphere is balanced against the cheerful cafe setting, so the scares are real but not extreme.

What should I do if I find a bug?

Head to the official community server and report what you saw. The development team actively collects those reports to find and fix problems.

Is there anything I need to pay for to enjoy the game?

No. The cooperative cafe gameplay, anomaly events, and even the group-exclusive rewards are all free. Joining the official group costs nothing and is the only step needed to unlock the group items.

What happens if I die during a shift?

You are sent to the Afterlife, where Bingo offers you a chance to revive. On Days 1 through 9 the revival is automatic, but from Day 10 onward you have to serve customers in a separate area to earn it back, and the challenge gets harder after Day 20.

When does Bonny's Shop open and what can I buy there?

Bonny's Shop becomes available starting on Day 7. It stocks items like the Talisman, Seasoned Pan, Medkit, Tip Jar, Plants, Posters, Nimble Hands, and more, all purchasable with in-game dollars. The Talisman can also be bought with Robux.

What is the Afterlife Crate and how do I get one free?

The Afterlife Crate gives one random prize — either a Bells amount or one of five event skins. You can buy one for 166 Bells, but completing daily quests inside the main game earns you up to six free crates each day.
