How the game works
SummaryEvery match puts up to 200 players on one map. You claim land in real time, place structures on the land you hold, and use those structures to fuel further expansion or stop enemies from pushing you back.
- Territory the land on the map you control; nothing earns you resources unless you hold it
- Structures buildings you place on your territory to generate resources or defend against attacks
- Attack percentage a setting you control that determines how hard your territory pushes against neighboring enemies
- Economy income from Factories and Ports that keeps your military and construction funded
- Groups teams of players who share an empire name and coordinate strategy together
Structures and what each one does
TableThere are five structures in the game. Two generate income, two are defensive, and one is a long-range offensive weapon.
| Structure | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Factory | Economy | Industrializes your territory to produce resources |
| Port | Economy | Pulls additional resources from sea territory you control |
| Fort | Defense | Creates a tough defensive line along enemy approach routes |
| Interceptors | Defense | Acts as the strongest shield against incoming attacks |
| ICBM Launcher | Offense | Fires on distant enemy territory and destroys their key structures |
Balancing attack and defense
TipsThe attack percentage setting controls how aggressively your territory presses against enemies. Finding the right level for your current situation is one of the core skills in Stud Front.
- Keep at least one Factory in a position enemies cannot easily reach from the front line
- Use ICBM Launchers to hit enemy Factories and Ports
- Add Interceptors at the spots on your border taking the heaviest incoming fire
- Do not spend every resource on military — a dried-up economy means you cannot replace what you lose
Playing with a group
CheckYou can play Stud Front on your own, but groups come with advantages. Members can set a shared empire name and work together to protect each other's territory.
- Join the game's group to receive the group bonus
- Agree on an empire name with your teammates
