The basic loop
Step
During the day you have free time to shop and build. Once night falls the rules change completely.
- Visit Cap'n Clarks head to the store and buy the furniture and lamps you need.
- Place your purchases drag each item into your area and position it where you want it.
- Paint the walls change wall colours to personalise your space.
- Stay in the light once night arrives, keep inside your lit safe zones until morning.

When night begins the lights go out and dangerous entities appear. Your lamps and light fixtures are the only things keeping you safe — each one creates a small safe zone around it. The Night Guard is an additional threat that appears upstairs, so avoid the second floor after dark.

Cap'n Clarks is the only place to buy furniture and lighting. Stock is limited, and rarer designs can sell out entirely.
