The core loop

Step
In short Every session follows the same three-step cycle: get the request, find the clothes, wash and sell.

Before you touch a single rack, talk to Craig. He tells you exactly what he wants, and knowing that upfront saves you a lot of aimless browsing. Once you have his request in mind, head to the thrift store, find a match, clean it at the laundromat, and bring it back to him for profit.

  1. Talk to Craig listen to his request so you know what kind of clothing to look for.
  2. Search the racks go through the thrift store and look for clothes that match what he described.
  3. Wash the item take whatever you found to the laundromat and clean it up.
  4. Sell to Craig hand over the freshly washed item and collect your profit.
  5. Repeat use what you earn to build out your own fits and keep taking new requests.

Working the thrift store racks

Tips
In short Checking the racks carefully is how you find pieces and fill Craig's requests.

The thrift store holds a wide variety of clothing. Spending a little extra time browsing pays off.

Tips worth knowing
  • Keep Craig's request in your head before you start browsing — it makes the right item easier to spot.
  • Pieces you like can be kept for your own character instead of sold.
03

Building your style without spending real money

Summary
In short Everything in the core game is accessible using only in-game cash earned from selling clothes.

You do not need to spend real money to enjoy Hit The Thrift. The profit Craig pays you is the same currency you use to buy clothing and accessories for your own character, so the reselling loop funds your personal wardrobe on its own.

  • Thrift store browsing fully available with no purchase required.
  • Reselling to Craig your source of in-game cash.
  • New clothes and accessories bought with the cash you earn from sales.
04

Dealing with alpha bugs

Warn
In short The game is still in active development, so bugs are normal — most clear up after a quick rejoin.

Because Hit The Thrift is an alpha, you will occasionally hit rough patches: the game slowing down, Craig or items not appearing, or a request not progressing. Your save data is preserved when you exit, so rejoining does not cost you progress.

Worth watching out for
If the game feels sluggish, exit fully and reopen it your earned cash and collected styles stay intact.
If Craig or items stop appearing, try moving to a different area first; if that does not fix it, rejoin.
If a request seems stuck, wait a moment and then talk to Craig again.
Use the in-game report tool or contact the developer directly when you spot a repeatable bug.
