About

Overview

Stationeries after school is a collect-em-all exploration game where you search a school building for hidden stationery characters — pencils, erasers, and more that have come to life. This guide covers how to find characters, how to deal with locked rooms and puzzles, and how to handle the trickier athletic and battle sections when you are ready for them.

First steps in the starting classroom

Step
In short Clearing the starting classroom before moving anywhere else gives you the smoothest beginning.

When you load in, you start in a classroom. Work through it completely before heading into the hallway. Characters can appear on desks, under desks, around the chalkboard, and in the gaps between shelves. Once you get close enough to a character, a button prompt appears on screen — follow it to collect. After the collection notice appears, wait a moment before quitting so your progress saves properly.

  1. Walk the room check the tops and undersides of every desk, the teacher's desk, the chalkboard area, and each shelf gap in order.
  2. Watch for prompts a button appears on screen when you are close enough to a character; tap or press it to collect.
  3. Confirm the pickup wait for the collection or badge notification before leaving the game session.
  4. Move room by room finish one area fully before moving to the next to avoid missing anything.

Recommended exploration order

Check
In short Going from the starting classroom outward in a single sweep saves you from backtracking the same corridors repeatedly.

The school has several distinct areas, and visiting them in a logical sequence keeps you from retracing your steps. Some rooms look normal from the outside but are not entered through a standard door, so treat every object you pass as something worth approaching.

  • Starting classroom fully cleared before leaving
  • Hallway checked characters sometimes appear in the connecting corridors between rooms
  • Other classrooms, library, and toilets visited in sequence
  • Schoolyard and outdoor area searched
  • Decorative objects like boxes and pen holders examined up close some are hidden entrances
03

Spotting characters you keep missing

Tips
In short Splitting your search by height — low, eye level, high, then behind furniture — cuts down on oversights.

Small stationery characters can blend into floors and furniture of a similar colour. Stopping at the doorway of each room and panning the camera slowly around the whole space is more effective than running through it. If you have been stuck in one spot for more than five minutes, move on to another room and come back later.

Tips worth knowing
  • Sweep floor level first — the area under desks and along the base of walls is the most commonly missed zone.
  • Check eye height next — surfaces at standing height, such as desk tops and counters.
  • Look at high spots — tops of tall shelves and high furniture can hide a character.
  • Circle the walls with the camera — pull back slightly rather than zooming in so you can see the full room at once.
04

Secret rooms and number puzzles

Warn
In short Every number or letter hint in a secret area comes from that same room's surroundings, so read the room before touching any device.

Some areas require tools, number codes, or passphrases to enter. Randomly guessing combinations wastes time. The hints you need are already in the same room.

Worth watching out for
Search the room for any written numbers or letters on blackboards, papers, or notice boards before attempting a code device.
Look for a required tool in a different room if a mechanism does not respond to you yet.
Approach walls, gaps, and boxes that do not look like doors some entrances are disguised as ordinary objects.
Write down any numbers or words you find in a room so you can use them at the puzzle without going back.
05

Athletic courses and battle sections

Step
In short Treating athletics and battles as optional extras to tackle after the main collection keeps frustration low.

Athletic platforming sections and battle encounters appear further into the game. They are designed for players who are already comfortable with exploration.

  1. Aim the camera at the landing spot before each jump in an athletic section, look at where you want to land.
  2. Jump one at a time a single clean press is more reliable than mashing.
  3. Observe before attacking in a battle, spend the first moment watching the opponent's movement pattern to find the pause where it is safe to approach.
  4. Target boss-type characters like the King Pencil after regular collection is well underway.
06

Events, updates, and spending Robux

Tips
In short Base your collection goals on what the game shows as uncollected rather than on any fixed total you have seen online.

The game receives updates that add new characters and seasonal events, which means the total number of characters changes over time.

Tips worth knowing
  • Use the in-game uncollected indicator as your goal rather than a number from an older video or guide.
  • Check any active event for an end date and try to collect its limited characters while it is running.
  • The core exploration is free — try it fully before deciding whether to spend Robux on anything.
07

Badges and what they reveal about the game

Table
In short The badge list shows exactly which parts of the game exist, so use it as a checklist of areas and activities still left to try.

The game has eleven official badges.

Common questions

FAQ

Does my collection carry over to the next session?

Yes, the game saves your collected characters. To make sure the save goes through, wait for the collection notice to appear fully before you close the game.

Why does the character count in a walkthrough video differ from what I see?

Updates and seasonal events add new characters over time, so the total changes. Always use the in-game uncollected display as your real target rather than a number from an older video.

A character is right in front of me but nothing happens when I touch it — what do I do?

Step back a short distance, approach again, and check whether the button prompt appears on screen.

What happens if I miss a limited Halloween event character?

Once an event ends, its exclusive characters are no longer available to collect. Whether they return in a future event is not guaranteed, so try to pick them up while the event is active.

I am playing on a phone and the small characters are hard to spot — any advice?

Stop moving and pan the camera slowly around the room instead of running through it.
